If you're looking for something cheap and simple to use for a practice or a jam session, this is for you. I will say, however, it is not reliable for a full-on gig. After about the third time I used it 'live' the pedal response began to slow down. The only time it will work now is if I press it really hard. Overall, I'm satisfied with the product, it just needs a little extra effort to make it work. I am still going to invest in a more expensive pedal for gigs, but am definitely sticking to this as a back-up and for practice.
I've had this pedal for a little over a month and it just stopped working tonight. Opened it up, and the little contact rod was broken. I don't expect this thing to last for 15 years, but come on...a month? I have Yamaha thats 20+ years old and while intermittant, it still works. Definately a major design flaw or someone is putting these on the spring wrong causing the metal contact rod to over-flex.Ship it back to the factory which could take God knows how long to get another that will break again? I'm testing out pedals because I'm eventually going to have to buy 5, one for each of my keyboards...this gets an F as in forget this one.
I love m-audio for there normally great quality and great prices...but this pedal is a joke. I purchased it for its small size and price to match, but it was not even worth the super low price. The rubber started peeling up on its second use, and it started shorting out after about a month of once a week performances. I had to bend the wire under it to make it work and finally it stopped working all together. Would not buy again!
