Product Information

Excellent play and sound in a 17-lb. piano you can carry under one arm!

At just 17 lbs., the M-Audio ProKeys 88sx digital stage piano delivers excellent sound in a package so light that you can carry it under one arm.

Its essential complement of instruments including grand piano, electric pianos, organ, and clav sound unbelievably good for an instrument in this price range. The piano's semi-weighted action also delivers the best feel you can get without the added cost and weight of hammer action.

While many digital stage pianos cram as many as 128 instruments into limited space, the ProKeys 88sx dedicates all of its memory to 7 high-quality sounds devoting extra attention to the multi-layer stereo samples of a Yamaha C7 concert grand. Piano 2 is designed to really cut through in popular music. Electric pianos are covered too, including a bright classic Yamaha DX7, a sweet Fender Rhodes, and a vintage Wurlitzer. There's also a percussive Hammond B3-and the Clavinet has "funky" totally nailed. Add on-board reverb and chorus to customize your sound.

Two stereo headphone jacks are perfect for private practice or teaching. The USB MIDI interface lets you record and playback on your Mac or PC without the installation of extra drivers.

The 88sx is also loaded with performance controls often not found on stage pianos including pitch and mod wheels plus inputs for two footswitches and an expression pedal.

If you want a pristine-sounding digital stage piano that feels great to both your fingers and your back, the ProKeys 88sx is for you.

With our Guaranteed Lowest Price, you can be assured of complete satisfaction and the lowest available price, or your money back!

Good for Midi Control or Gigging Artist

I wanted to get involved with Midi a couple months ago. I purchased an Mbox 2 (which came with pt) and Finale 07. I needed a Midi controller and after much deliberation chose this one. I wasn't even looking for a piano with built in sounds, but I got this one because it seemed durable and not to bulky. It plays good-not like some Yamahas in the same price range. The couple of sounds you get with the keyboard aren't half bad. If you are really looking for more of a stage piano I would suggest the M-Audio Prokeys 88 with more sounds. I think M-Audio makes good solid pianos. For the price this is a good buy.

Great Keyboard but...

This keyboard has excellent sound and the semi-weighted keys make for a real piano experience. However we wish that we would have been informed that we need an amplifyer to use. Not being pro's at these items we thought it was a self-contained sound. There really was no direction for us amitures.

Great keyboard for the price.

I recently pruchased the ProKeys 88sx and have found the keyboard to be loaded with great features. In addition to the seven exceptional featured sounds, I really appreciated the transposing feture as well as the reverb and chorus which sweeten up several of the sampled sounds. The keyboard is light, and the keys have a relatively good touch sensitivity to them. Several of my friends who play keyboards have been surprised at the quality of the insturment for the price and plan to purchase one for themselves.

Good for Beginners

I bought this keyboard because I wanted an inexpensive instrument to use to learn how to play the piano. After a month of playing, I am completely satisfied with my purchase. Compared to an acoustic piano the keyboard feels a little strange at first but after a few minutes I got used to it. I like the two piano sounds but the other 5 selections not so much. Maybe as my playing gets better I’ll be able to work out how to play the other “instruments”. When played in a demo mode the other sounds are good but I’m still pounding out root notes with the left hand and 3 note chords with the right. I play it through a Carvin 50W guitar amp when I’m not using headphones and it sounds great. My only complaint is that the sustain pedal doesn’t have enough travel to feel like an acoustic piano pedal. I don’t expect the mechanical feel of a real piano pedal but I can’t always tell, especially on carpet, when the pedal is depressed and when it is not.
