Out of the BOX!!
If you are looking to buy a great keyboard/ arranger BUY THIS KEYBOARD. I am a professional musical director and do a lot of live orchestra with some recorded tracks. This keyboard is great! I didn't even have to read the manual (which you SHOULD do)! I plugged it in and I just started working. It's powered by USB which makes is even more amazing! A definite YES in my book! By the way, the key action on this keyboard is great and much better than advertised!

great value
This keyboard controller is great for the price. I use it with a Yamaha Motif ES module in my studio and in live performance. The only draw back for me is that I am a "heavy" player and have experienced that the key velocity sensors break leaving those keys without sensitivity to the touch which can be quite annoying during delicate playing.

Play the music, not the instrument...
I got this keyboard 3 months ago and it has changed my way of making music.
First, it's straight out of the box plug and play, no complicated driver hassle, or hours spent with manuals.
Second, the look and feel are great and make you want to play.
Third, the full 88 keys now allow me to spend time playing music the way I hear it and not waste time editing it.
For the price, this is the best all around controller.

THis is A great keyboard for the $
This is by far ....mad far, the best keyboard controller u can get even close to this $ range. If you know what you are getting then U will know what im saying. Obviously its doesnt have alot of knobs on it so their would be absolutly no point in complaining about that. If you want all that stuff then buy one with that stuff on it. Anyways, this is the tremendous asset to my studio. I love it.

Just plug it in!
I was wanting a midi keyboard and found the M-Audio Keystation 88 keyboard. I have not been dissapointed. You simply plug it into your computer via USB port and use a program (I use MIDI) to use the keyboard. It's great for when I'm creating background tracks for my recordings. Great buy!

ITS LONG........4 Ft 6 inches
If space is a consideration you may want the shorter 61 key. Works midi and usb at same time is it supposed to? Overall it is the lowest price 88 around. Great with our little home studio. Works with our other stuff just fine.

Great Midi Controller
I got this keyboard about a year ago and have had no problems at all. Even with windows this is straight plug and play, no drivers to install. If you looking for a budget midi controller this is the way to go.

basically as advertised
At the time that I purchased this, there were not yet 64 bit windows drivers available for it. So if that's what you are using, basically you can only use the keyboard with one program at a time.
You should be able to find out if this issue has been resolved (if you absolutely need this kind of functionality) by going to the M-Audio site before purchasing.
A great set of keys for the money

Basically as advertised
One thing I would maybe try to bring your attention to here, depending on which OS you are planning to use this device with...
*There are still (as of 08/2009) no 64bit windows drivers available from the M-Audio site. Which basically means, the device still works, but with only one program at once. So if that is a limitation you care about, maybe check on the M-Audio site to see if these drivers are available yet.
* This limitation is apparently not a factor on OSX

Great Value, Great Possibilities
I purchased this keyboard about 6 months ago. I was in dire need of a midi keyboard and this one jumped out at me. Not only for the price, but I was in love with the fact that it was a full 88-key. The feel of the semi-weighted keys is different than a regular piano, but easy to get used to. I didn't even bother to read the manual I just hooked it up to my Mac right out of the box and started playing in Garage Band. It's serviced me very well and I would recommend it to anyone who wants an 88-key midi controller and uses programs like Garage Band, FL Studio, Reason, etc.
