A compact and intuitive interface for your computer-based recording studio.

The M-Audio Fast Track Pro Mobile USB Audio/MIDI Interface is loaded with professional features for optimal mobile recording flexibility. You get 2 front-panel mic/line inputs complete with phantom power for condenser microphones, inserts for outboard effects, balanced and unbalanced analog outputs, S/PDIF digital I/O, MIDI I/O, and more.

The M-Audio Fast Track Pro also offers near-zero latency direct hardware monitoring and low-latency ASIO software monitoring, plus an A/B source switch and dual output pairs for DJ-style cueing. Compatible with most popular PC and Mac music software, the Fast Track interface's USB connection and bus power along with class compliancy for Mac OS X* make it a breeze to set up.

Professional Recording—Anywhere, Anytime
With the M-Audio Fast Track Pro, you'll get professional results whenever and wherever you want to record. A single USB connection gives you access to all the I/O you need for microphones and instruments like guitars, as well as MIDI- and S/PDIF-equipped digital audio gear. The microphone inputs are even phantom powered to accommodate studio-quality condenser microphones. M-Audio's acclaimed driver software gives you total routing control over the 4 x 4 I/O—including setting up an effects loop with external devices.

Monitoring Flexibility
The M-Audio Fast Track Pro audio interface also has a powerful headphone amplifier with volume control. Hardware direct monitoring eliminates the latency or delay inherent in even the best internal circuitry while listening to your input and existing tracks. You can also listen to your input complete with effects while recording by using the low-latency ASIO monitoring. Connect to a DJ mixer with the 2 pairs of analog outputs and use the front-panel A/B source switch to audition cues.

Ableton Live Lite
M-Audio also includes multi-award-winning Ableton Live 5 software. The Live 5's revolutionary loop-based paradigm dramatically simplifies audio production, so you can drag and drop audio clips in real time, record linear tracks, add effects, perform live remixes, and much more.

  • High Quality for a Great Price! Well Worth It In My Book!

As reviewed by Dennis on 9/16/2010

I've been using the Fast Track Pro for a little over 6 months now and I've gotta say that it is a definite keeper! It was very easy to install, easy to understand and well... easy! I have recorded many artists who do audiobooks, sing, voice-overs, etc. although the latency is 20 millisecs, it has no problem in my book, you won't even notice if your' ears aren't tuned in completely (artists). I've heard a lot of people compare this to the Tascam, but tascam doesn't even come close to being as precise as this one! I'll be honest, I haven't worked with many interface items, but working with this one (if it's your 1st time) you definitely can't go wrong with it. I plan to upgrade to the M-audio Fast Track Ultra in order to have more available recording inputs at a time, but this is great for now. I normally give away my interface machines when I get a new one, but I don't think I'll get rid of this one for another 4 years. And if I do? I'll sell it, because it's worth it. -New users -experienced users -users who want simple, yet effective means to record.

  • Great For Macs

As reviewed by Superfly523 on 4/29/2009

I Recently bought this not knowing anything about it, i just needed an interface so i picked a reasonably cheap one, little did i know that this interface was exactly what i needed! Im running this M-Auido Fast Track Pro through a mac and im just using garage band and it works great. It also came with Abelton Live but that program is just too complicated and plus im used to garage band. But overall a very nice piece of equipment.

  • Great Buy

As reviewed by Chris Plecker on 10/23/2011

I bought this about a year ago and I still use it. It gave an exceptional difference in FL Studio when I hooked it up. I use it for pretty much everything now. Only thing I would say bad about this is the headphone jack. When you pull your headphones out, the 1/4 connector comes out too when it used to stay in. It can't be the connector because I use several. If you're into buying an M-Audio Interface, I would suggest the new C series or the Profire610 though.
