      M-Audio Delta 44 Digital Recording System (701346)
Availability:

4x4 24-bit/96kHz full-duplex recording interface

The M-Audio Delta 44 Digital Recording System features 24-bit/96kHz converters that are the envy of the audio card community! The Delta 44 offers the same features and high performance as the Delta 66, but is designed for the user who does not require digital I/O.

Like its big brother, the Delta 44's breakout box handles four balanced/unbalanced, +4dBu or -10dBV analog inputs and outputs. You get the same 24-bit/96kHz fidelity, industry-standard driver support, and bulletproof operation found across the entire Delta family.

36-bit Embedded DSP
All Delta cards contain 36-bit embedded DSP enabling a software-driven patchbay/router for all analog and digital I/O—all with extremely fast throughput for low-latency software monitoring. A single unified control panel provides settings for clock and sample rates, buffer sizes, individual signal levels for every input and output, and adjustable +4dBu/-10dBV pad controls. All controls are also easily accessible through most professional audio software applications for seamless integration and operation.

With our Guaranteed Lowest Price, you can be assured of complete satisfaction and the lowest available price, or your money back!

  • Great Unit!

As reviewed by Josh Gummersall on 9/23/2008

I got this unit 2 hours ago. I have a good amount of knowledge when it comes to computers, and installing this unit was very easy. Anybody that can install a PCI card into a computer can install this unit with ease. The sound is noticeably better than my stock soundcard was. I did a test recording from a record and the sound quality was very good. I use balanced TRS cable to connect to my monitors, and this sound card has plenty of output gain. I would recommend this unit to anybody that is looking a for a lower latency card with good A/D, D/A converters.

  • Great Sound - Great Price

As reviewed by Andy Mawson on 5/31/2010

I bought the Delta 44 a couple of weeks ago to replace my E-MU 0202 which was not compatible with Pro Tools M-Powered which I had just purchased. Installation was as painless as any PCI card install and the long break out box cable let me set up the breakout box a good distance from my PC to minimize noise. The breakout box is a very welcome addition -- no more fishing around for dangling cables as was the case with the E-MU 0202. Once you begin to invest at this level, let me advise you to also invest in good cables as well. And by good, I mean Mogami. Do yourself a favor -- you'll be surprised at the difference it makes. There's no point in buying quality hardware if you're going to run the signal through cheap crap cables. Remember the old axiom, 'garbage in -- garbage out'. I'm running on a dual-core Win 7 64bit box with 8GB of RAM and have not run into any configuration problems thus far.

  • Low noise high quality 4 ch sound card for PCI slot

As reviewed by Terry Williams on 3/5/2009

This is the second Delta 44 I have purchased. The first unit was installed in my production studio over 5 years ago ago and has been a great sound card. The second Delta 44 was installed in a Shuttle computer for use with PC DJ for night club and wedding music. The Delta 44 allows me to send MP3 Player 1 to channels 1 and 2. MP3 Player 2 is routed to channels 3 and 4. Set up is simple in both Windows XP and Vista. The balanced in/outs help to keep line and computer noise to a minimum. If you need to locate your computer away fom your mixer/mics due to fan noise you can extend the cable distance from the computer to the breakout box using a legacy style "joystick" cable. I also own a Fast Track Pro 4 channel USB sound card for my laptop. I'm sold on M-Audio sound cards.
