Delta 1010-LT

Why the 1010-LT?
The Delta 1010-LT offers all of the interface features you need to record music on your computer, including: eight analog inputs and outputs, including 2 XLR microphone inputs with pre amps, S/PDIF in/out, MIDI in/out, and word clock in/out. Audio from a variety of sources can be connected to the 1010-LT inputs, and the comprehensive Delta Control Panel software can set and even fine-tune the input line level. Inputs 1 & 2 on XLR jacks can be set to receive a balanced line or a mic level signal, eliminating the need for an outboard mic preamp. The S/PDIF input will interface with gear from pro DAT players to CD, DVD or Minidisc, and offers control over the SCMS copy protection protocol.

The Delta 1010-LT outputs can be connected to an external mixer or sound system, while the S/PDIF outs feed your digital mixdown deck. The Delta Control Panel Software also controls a hardware mixer embedded in the PCI card, giving still more routing and mixing control. Use the MIDI I/O for your MIDI controllers and sound modules, and finally, connect to word clock-capable devices for rock-solid sample clock synchronization.

The 1010-LT is part of the Delta series of PCI audio cards, and benefits from years of development and research. No other audio interfaces on the market compete with the driver compatibility of the Delta series. Install it in your Mac or PC computer today and begin exploring the world of professional digital audio.

I have had this card for 3 years now and it is still going strong I used cool edit ( audition) cake walk ,sonar Pro tools Mpowered and all run smooth great audio quality good break out cables a little heavy but good quality for now 200 bucks its a steal you can get good studio quality recordings (depending on your mixing skills) withthis card no doubt routing internally is decent overall best buy for pci in price range

Great for the cost

I used this in my studio after having some problems with a firewire system. This card and a 8 channel preamp and you are good to go. Also, monitor surround with the eight outs or use it for seperate headphone mixes. Highly recomended.

Nice Card

Well, I got the card for my new computer for recording as well as just general audio playback. Installation was simple, everything is explained well in the manual. The only problem I had was with the jumpers (so you can change whether the XLR inputs are powered mic preamps, or line inputs. I just missed the explaination in the manual, so it was my own fault for messing that up. The first thing I noticed when I tested out the card is that everything sounded really clear and music wasn't muddy. Granted, I upgraded from the motherboard's soundcard, but it sounded alot better than the SoundBlaster card we have on a different computer. The mic preamps aren't too bad, but if you are serious about recording, your going to want to use those XLR inputs as line inputs and use dedicated mic preamps. Also, you will need alot of converters for the RCA inputs/outputs on the card. That is really the only downside I can see. It works well with Cubase and Ableton Live.
