This is probably the cooles midi controller out there. I hooked it up and it immediately saw all my software and plug-ins. Better yet it displays everything on the built in LCD display. This is the controller you want if you don't like programming, IT DOES EVERYTHING FOR YOU!!!
I don't normally buy M audio products, because I feel that they lack in quality control and it in the build quality of the devices. The Axiom Pro however, is an exception. This thing is built very solid and sturdy. The faders are HEAVY, and not flimsy. The knobs have a nice feel once you break them in a little. All of the buttons and transport functions have a good feel to them also. Hyper control is very nice, and in a nut shell, does what it says it will do. The semi weighted keys on this board were another major selling point for me. They feel very good, MUCH better than the sh*t awful keys on the key-station and oxygens. The keys are even noticeably better than those on the regular axiom version 2.
I would recommend trying this out at your local GC store, and seeing if you can pick it up when there is a sale going on. If you can get it for a good price..don't hesitate. (I love it, but its honestly not worth the price tag)
Chintzy build. great sound. Awesome editor. just wasn't for me. Good place to start for a beginner.
