I beg to differ

By ProLuna

Comments about Luna Guitars Aurora Faerie Mini Acoustic Guitar:

I have taught guitar for many years and have seen a lot of bad beginner guitars for kids ages 5-9, but the Aurora series is a breath of fresh air. These guitars sound very good for the money AND BEST OF ALL they can be played and tuned to A440. Open chords and single notes are all in tune and the sound quailty for such a small instrument is truly excellent for this type of guitar. My understanding from Luna is that they inspect their main line instruments but the children's guitars are not individually inspected (who could expect that with a price of under $75). All and all if you are looking for a good acoustic beginner guitar that is as fun to play as it is to look at, look no further you found it with Luna's Auroras

Luna Guitar Sure to Disappoint

By Faerie

from Fort Wayne, IN

Comments about Luna Guitars Aurora Faerie Mini Acoustic Guitar:

While faerie-lovers in search of a guitar might be tempted by the colorful art on the Luna Aurora Faerie Mini Acoustic Guitar, they should keep looking. The shade of pink which looks so delicate and feminine on a computer screen is really garish and causes the whole guitar to be an eyesore, and the lower-than-list price doesn't make up for it's main feature... poor quality. Upon opening the box and removing the plastic, I noticed that my guitar, which was supposed to be brand new, had many scratches, scuffs, and other marks on its body. After being tuned and played a little, the sound was flat and twangy--hardly the "bubbly personality" it's makers advertise. One might think that what this guitar lacks in appearance and tone, it would make up in value. Not so. While being tuned, part of the bridge made a loud cracking noise. The fret markers, which are highlighted in the Luna advertisement for resembling moon phases rest on little globs of glue. Even the gig bag is low quality... it is not padded whatsoever, (Who would make a child's guitar case with no padding?) and mine came with no strap, though it had hooks to attach the one that was supposed to be included. The warranty card which came with my Luna guitar claims that "All Luna Guitars are personally inspected and adjusted by the experts at Luna Guitars' headquarters," yet my warranty card was unsigned by such an inspector, contained a checklist of parts to be inspected with no check marks. Even a beginner, for which this guitar was purchased, would not be satisfied with the flat sound it produces and the low overall quality of the product and accompanying bag. Don't be seduced by the beautiful faerie art featured on the guitar, and avoid this one despite the seemingly low price.
