Luna Guitars High-Tide Koa Concert Ukulele (583541)
Availability:

The sounds of the islands, presented in deep, natural koa.

The Luna Guitars High-Tide Koa Concert Ukulele aptly takes it's inspiration from the full moon at the first fret which causes the abalone wave fret markers below it to "rise" as they make their way up the fretboard towards the moon's pull. High-Tide ukes are crafted from exotic tropical hardwoods, and the Luna "full moon" sticker inside the soundhole is framed by an abalone ring.

This beautiful Luna ukulele features a deep koa body, producing full, deep sound along with the instrument's concert body size. The cutaway offers comfort when accessing the upper-register frets, and the nato/mahogany neck and rosewood bridge and fretboard add lasting sustain and clarity to your tone. The open-style tuners keep the instrument in precise tuning and the onboard preamp provides easy amplification that can be dialed in quickly. Dressed in a satin finish and featuring a rosewood binding, you won't believe your eyes with the ukulele's natural beauty. Just wait 'til you hear it.

Includes a gig bag.

  • Great sounding and playing!

As reviewed by Brett Segelman on 1/1/2013

Traded in a different uke at the Guitar Center, and picked this guy up. The pickup is really nice, and sounds great in an amp. The abalone inlays are just beautiful, and something you just don't see on your average ukulele. I would definately pick one of these up. Great aesthetics and sound!

  • Great Deal and Sound

As reviewed by John Smallis on 1/12/2014

I started with a Soprano ukulele and wanted to move up to a Concert type. I also wanted the ability to plug into my amp if I wanted to. I've tried a buch of ukuleles that are not over $500. Some, the neck is too thick, others look good but are too glossy and hard to keep tucked in, some sound just poor (even with Aquila strings). This Luna sounded really similar to my Soprano and when plugged in, gave that same sound. I like that island sound versus the other concerts which may play ok but, sound less twangy. It's smooth, the neck isn't too thick (so if you have short stubby fingers it's easier to play), and it looks awesome.

  • Beautiful!!

As reviewed by Bryan Dennis on 4/22/2013

I traded in a lesser uke for this one. I have had so much fun learning to play my High Tide! The koa wood grain looks absolutely beautiful with the abalone appointments and it has great sounding electronics. The internal wires buzzed against the inside of the top when it arrived, but I just stuck my finger in, moved 'em back a bit, and all was well. It arrived with an included gig bag, but I'm glad that I kept the one I had ordered before, because the included one has a bit less padding than I like. The action is perfect and the intonation is VERY close. I can't wait to write and record a few tunes for a vacation video soundtrack. This is the one you should get! It's not too expensive and the quality is above what you pay for.
