Luna Guitars Flora Rose Folk Acoustic-Electric Guitar (H74409)
Availability:

Was $429.00

Medium size, quilted maple top, and unique abalone rose design.

The rose is one of the most important symbols in the world. A red rose represents love, respect, courage and passion.

In Greek mythology a red rose was a symbol for the cycle of growth and for love and affinity. In Christendom, the red rose is seen as a symbol of Jesus’ blood. In Sufi mystical language The Rose is often used as an image of God, and the heart.

Luna Guitars' Rose embraces the sound hole and trails gracefully onto the lower bout. The red tinted abalone blossoms are stunning against the blonde quilt maple top. A remarkable instrument to give voice to your own love and passion through music.

Plugged in, the state-of-the-art B-Band preamp tuner maintains the intimate and natural acoustic tonal quality of this fine instrument. The B-Band provides a 3-band EQ with volume control, built-in tuner, and phase switch to fight feedback. Case sold separately.

  • Absolutely Beautiful!

As reviewed by heather faulkner on 12/26/2012

I got this guitar for Christmas as my second guitar and it is absolutely beautiful. The pictures on here don't do this guitar justice. It is simply beautiful and Im in love with it. Its sound is very clear and rich. I literally made an account just to rate this guitar!

  • Beautiful Guitar

As reviewed by Jeni Hudson on 6/10/2013

I bought the guitar used, and let me tell you, it didn't seem used. It seemed brand new. It was received in perfect condition and was packaged extremely well. The shipping was excellent. The moment I pulled the guitar out of the case, I fell in love with it. I love the beautiful rose decorations on the guitar. SO pretty! It sounds great plugged up with an amp. I just love love love the guitar. It feels great when I hold it and play it. It's easier to play than my other old guitar. I think Luna is a great guitar brand, especially when one doesn't have, like, a lot of money to spend on a guitar. I personally was willing to pay $1500 for one, but decided against it, and am so glad I did! I love pretty things, and I love roses to it was perfect.

  • Great Guitar: Two Thumbs Up

As reviewed by Maria on 6/8/2014

I have owned this guitar for three weeks, and it produces a rich, clear, and smooth sound, and is gorgeous to boot. I have been playing as a guitarist for my own enjoyment for 5 years, and my husband has been playing professionally for 27 years. We both agree that it is a great guitar in sound, comfort, and appearance. For the price, I expected good quality all around, and it did not disappoint me. The built in tuner is convenient, and though I did not buy this guitar for that, I am glad that I do not have to fish around for my tuner anymore! I like that the tuner lights up green when it is in the correct tune, and lights blue when it is not. This guitar is lighter than my first Johnson guitar, but still feels like the solid piece that it should. It feels like it can take normal wear and tear with ease. The body is made of maple, and feels pretty solid- though I wouldn't feel confident it could stand a rock'n'roll style slam one could do with a durable electric guitar :)! The neck is made of rosewood, which feels especially dense and solid. As a woman, the neck also feels very comfortable for my small hands, but a man with large hands can play comfortably on this as well (my husband has been happily playing with my purchase). As far as the appearance goes, the abalone inlay is beautiful, and certain parts of the abalone- such as the rose, branches, and leaves- are given a very sheer stain of color to produce the rich reds, browns, and greens you see on the body. The abalone inlay on the neck is naturally colored abalone, and is cut to demonstrate the phases of the moons cycle as the inlay runs down the fret board. The head stock of the guitar is also naturally colored abalone, and displays the moon and Luna emblem. One thing I will note, is that when I sent back back my first Luna guitar (I was accidentally sent a used guitar, when I had ordered a new guitar), and I received the second guitar as a replacement, I noticed the abalone inlay on the body, as well as the maple finish, was shaded slightly differently. The essential coloring remains the same, but the tone is different. The maple on the second was slightly darker, and the coloring of the abalone on the body was more rich and prominent. As this is a handmade product, it is to be expected. However, if you have access to seeing them in person, I would suggest hand-selecting your guitar if you have a preference about the shade variations. I personally would have preferred to hand-select my own, but I am also sentimental about that kind of thing, and prefer to select the one I feel most drawn to. Both were very pretty however, and so I would not be concerned about receiving a product that was not up to par. Even as a clearly used guitar, it was still very pretty, and the scratches could not easily be seen if you were not looking for them. Overall, if this is the price-point you have set for yourself, and you want an attractive guitar that also feels and sounds great, I think that Luna guitars rock!
