I CHALLENGE you to find a BETTER stand!

By BILL WAGONER

from Willimantic, CT

Comments about Ludwig Atlas Pro II Snare Stand:

I looked at ALL the major brands before I bought this stand. There are many excellent choices; Pearl, DW, Gibraltar, etc. BUT This bad boy IMHO is the BEST! Versatile, rock-solid, outstanding adjustability, chrome finish second to none! Folds up nicely, weight average (not back-breaking), truly a great example of Ludwig's commitment to quality and innovation. TRY IT - BUY IT!

Comments about Ludwig Atlas Pro II Snare Stand:

This snare stand is worth the $$ for me, maybe not everyone would spend this type of dough on a snare stand. I love it, as it is super sturdy and heavy duty but the most of all, it has a sleek design and the pillar clutch does allow for a bit more resonance. So I use this for my hanging tom in a bebop kit and it works excellent allowing for more resonance to come through, I find it superior to rims mount or my other flat based Gibraltar snare stand for a hanging tom and this stand is very very stable compared to other snare stands i was using. I would also like to use it for main snare duties, but I need to save dough for another and wondering if i will use it outside of the studio in this way, as I don;t mind using a flat based stand for my snare and just using this for the hanging tom as that is where I feel the biggest difference can be heard. I would use it for both for sure, but it is not a light weight stand, making it stable, but not the lightest snare stand you could transport around. Worth it to lug around for the tom but not convinced for the snare it is worth adding this kind of weight. While not light, the basket section folds up tiny, not awkward like folding std snare baskets, I do like the design a lot. It seems built to last a few lifetimes.
