• Cool sound and Perfect Add on

  I bought this add on pack 2 weeks ago and have been waiting for this chance to write a review about this cool add on toms. I have the Pacific 5 piece kit which has 12" and 13" toms and this 8" and 10" add on toms added great transition, fills, rolls with my existing kit... I actually doubted about its quality since for its price getting 2 toms and with a stand but I was wrong, Ludwig proved again their line of quality again... It sounds great and you will not find any flaw in the sound, desgin aand the quality and it perfectly matches with my black pacific kit and seems like I have 7 piece kit :) The stand is very sturdy, the picture shows it has single braced legs but NO, it has doublt braced legs so very sturdy. The ball part for each tom's clamp is very very helpful to adjust according to your desired position. You will definitely say "this is so cool" when you assemble. And you have one more plus in this which is not mentioned anywhere, behind these toms you have an option/provision to add a cymbal hardware to it so that you can avoid another cymbal stand with your kit... The only thing you have to buy additional is the drum heads according to your existing kit to level the sound and for great transition, I've bought the Evans EC2 heads but haven't changed it yet since I like the sound of the factory setting, kinda sweet. Ultimately, this add on will definitely cherish you and WILL NOT DISAPPOINT!!! Check for some ludwig add on in youtube and check the sound, if any, since you can not find it in the store unless it is used.

  These toms flow smoothly with my kit and the stand for them is AMAZING! The drums come with Evans Genera 1 non-coated heads, but i am switching the heads to remo Black suedes, They sound great and they come preassembled at a factory tuning, although i tuned my pair down a quarter turn and they were much deeper then i thought they would be. Overall a great buy and a great addition to my kit.

  These toms look and sound great! The stand is also very nice. The ball joint allows you to adjust the position of the drums however you like.
