Comments about Livewire 1/4" - RCA Dual Patch Cable:

This cord was used a few times a month for several years until it failed. The cord was disassembled to determine the cause of failure. That was found to be a failure to make use of the strain-relief crimp on the RCA end of the cable.

Otherwise, materials and workmanship seemed consistent with high-quality cable construction. The solder joints were clean and bright, and heatshrink tubing covered all wires and joints.

The colored marker bands tended to migrate over time, but the ones that remained on the cable were easily restored to their correct position on the connector shell.

Comments about Livewire 1/4" - RCA Dual Patch Cable:

I was impressed with the sound improvement over the H**s* Pro Dual Cable with R**n connectors.
The LW cable on this one is a little thicker than the H**s* Pro Dual. According to LW's website, the Advantage series is supposed to be braided shield and N**tr**k connectors.
I am using this cable from my phono preamp to my audio interface. Ideally, I wanted my turntable not as far away; but couldn't arrange my space that way. The turntable is on a stable platform about 8' from my workstation. I use short cables from the turntable to the preamp and then these cables to the audio interface. No significant hiss or hum from either brand cable. The LW sounded better - tighter, less muddled, brighter and cleaner. Not sure why, but for my application they worked well.
