I purchased one of these in the 18.5' variety after the Monster cable I was using failed. I've used a lot of different brands of inst. cable and this one seems quite well made. I went to the angled - straight cable, plugging the angled connector into my Gibson Les Paul because the other cable I was using failed approx 6-8 inches from the connector. This cable states on the package that "in the event of a failure of this cable simply return it to the place of purchase" or words to that effect. Made my decision on purchasing a cable very easy.

Guitar Center talked me out of my beloved Monster cable. Gave me a Live Wire Elite guitar cable. For Bass. They never lasted more then 2 weeks. I'm tired of the long drives replacing this bad cable. When it went down again on stage, I pulled out my 15 year old Roc 10 corded cable and Bam! My sound was back. I had to turn down my gain 5 degrees. What does that say about a brand new design?? Another Long drive for a warranty on bad cables. Hopefully I can get something that respects stage sound.

Great Cable. It's pretty thick so it can be a little hard to move around. However, the ends are solid and it take a lot of abuse. No buzz or or cracking.

Comments about Livewire Elite Angle-Straight Instrument Cable:

The most important benefit from a good cable is well built and secure ends. I really noticed the quality of the whole cable. It's thicker than my other ones. I have a drawer full of instrument cables that just fail or make noise after about a year of use. This one really looks and feels like it will last.

      Amazing Cable!

Comments about Livewire Elite Angle-Straight Instrument Cable:

I have a Classic 50's Player Strat and a Fender Vibro Champ XD and I am using a Mogami Gold cable, but I feel that something is lacking in my performance. I changed my set up using Live Wire Elite Instrument Cables and wow it was like night and day! Now I hear sound nuances and I can appreciate the dynamic range. Even the effects in my amp are fully demonstrated. Incredible cable, despite the lesser cost!

      Great Cable!

Comments about Livewire Elite Angle-Straight Instrument Cable:

I have owned this cable for around a year and a half now, and I haven't owned a better cable before it. This cable provides absolutely no background "buzzing" noise. Seriously durable, and if it SOMEHOW breaks, you can disassemble it.

      Good cable, but...

Comments about Livewire Elite Angle-Straight Instrument Cable:

No doubt that is cable is mostly consist of gold. But the think that irritates me that most is how it gets sooooooooo tangled all the time. I always twist the opposite direction so it wouldn't be tangled as much. That theory didn't work out. Livewire, please make the quality of the cable better instead some cheap plastic covering to make itself look good... but if you don't care about the tangling at all, then by all means, go for it.

      Live wire user

      By John P Bazzano

      from Norfolk, CT

Comments about Livewire Elite Angle-Straight Instrument Cable:

I bought a 6" patch cord 4 months ago to see how the quality was and I was so impressed I bought 3 more patch cords, 2 - 18.5's, 2 - 10' and a 3' speaker cable. I immediately noticed less hiss and had to adjust my tone turning the treble down because the sound was so clear. There is no noise when the cable slides across the floor. My bassist bought a new Fender Bassman head and it came with a Fender labeled Live Wire 3' speaker cable. I had monster cables but they kept shorting out on me. I definitely considered the guarantee when I bought these cables, but the quality is so good I doubt I'll ever need it!

Superb Quality At A Reasonable Price

      By Mark Flemmer

      from Omaha, Nebraska

Comments about Livewire Elite Angle-Straight Instrument Cable:

This is professional quality, well shielded instrument cable. I use either Live Wire Elite or Monster Cable Monster Rock cables, depending on the length or jack configuration I need. I think that you get more for your money with the Live Wire Elite. Just as good if not better than Monster Cable. It's not about being "cheaper"---it's about being a better value.

      Great cable!

      By Cameron Simpson

      from MI

Comments about Livewire Elite Angle-Straight Instrument Cable:

I prefer using right angled cables for my p bass. It just looks better. I was using Monster Bass cables, but discovered that the jack is bigger, so my monster would get stuck in my input jack on my bass and pull the pick guard from the body, I didn't like that. I went to this live wire elite cable, and it fits perfectly, doesn't tug on my basses jack, and the sound is very nice, I for one think it sounds as good as the monster yet, a little better O.o I would recommend this cable over the monster :) only because it has equal quality, same sound, and doesn't harm the innards of my American P Bass.
