I own two of these, one 10' and one 18.5', and use them both constantly. They have held up for about 2 1/2 years, and still work great. Little to no noise, tough construction, and the endcaps, while somewhat loose on occasion, have not fallen apart. I used some vise-grip pliers and tightened both ends pretty well, and they haven't come undone since. Great cables for the price.

I bought these cables on three separate occasions. They sound fine, but as of right now I am sitting next to FOUR BROKEN LIVE WIRE guitar cables, each which broke on account of the manufacturer. After the first few broke I assumed they were defective, but as of yet every single live wire cable I have bought (to date) is broken. This seems really suspicious to me as they have a lifetime guarantee, but the fact of the matter is: next time, spend the extra money, get a better cable. It's worth your time.

Noise Free and Reliable

By Michael Tran

Less tone sucking than Monster and just as reliable. I have tested these cables against George L's, Fender, Livewire advantage, Mogami and Monster. By far the best value.

Most likely to stand up to the test of time

By Matthew Fontana

from Johnstown, PA

I bought four of these (two different models) for my church's music department and I am very pleased. They're heavy duty on the terms of construction and they're also heavy duty in the sense that you can only wrap them a certain way which helps prevent damage.

Great price, average quality

By Wayne Kedron

from Saginaw, Mi

You can't beat the price, but you can beat the quality. The caps do come loose every practice session. I have had two break and need to be re-soldered after only a few uses . I would not recommend these for a gig or any live show where you will be moving around, but they are great for practice.

This is a very good guitar cable with no tone loss or noise and seems to hold up well to gig to gig. Good cable for an even better price

LONG LIFE & QUALITY SOUND

By Richard Grimes

from Central PA

Back in the day, we had two choices when buying an instrument cable; straight or coiled! Legends put down legendary recordings across miles of tape using plain old standard issue instrument cables. Now, there are so many brands and high priced/ high end wire? options, but the Live Wire cables have proven to be a working band's dependable standard in my lengthy experience. They are solid construction, quality sound, long lasting cables. Treat them right ... don't roll gear or chairs across them or dig your boot heal into them and they'll take care of you for years. They'll definitely take some abuse, but treat them nice anyway! Every few years I tend to get some new cables here and there and I've tried other brands, some of which were good, but the Live Wires are the last working cables time and time again. They are also made somewhere in the USA. NICE! American businesses have faced a lot of abuse and hard times in recent years and it's gonna take The People to help drag them and freedom through it, so do yourself a favor by buying a well made, dependable cable while at the same time helping American citizens continue to be American business employees! Make America ROCK! Buy a few. You'll need to get to the effects and then to the amp!

Don't buy this cable

By Lance Dover

from Dayton, OH

I'm new to the electric guitar thing, but I know what works and what doesn't. Since I'm on a tight budget, I try to get the best I can for what money I have available to spend. Well, this time around, I could only afford a Fender Frontman 25, and I needed a cable to go with it. The salesman picked out the Live Wire 15 foot cable. I though about telling him to grab the Monster right then, but figured perhaps he was right. WRONG!! I'm playing with a Tele, so I know the single pickups will make the amp hum, that crazy cable made it hum without the guitar being plugged into to it! Took that cable back this morning and paid the extra money for a great 12 foot Monster Cable. Amp doesn't hum now with only the cable plugged in. I'm just saying....

Broken Easily

By Stephanie Schantz

from Detroit, MI

This cable is ok. It's worked for about Four months and now it's breaking up the music I am playing. Based off of another review that says that they have bought four, I am going to say it's cruddy.

Live Wire Advantage cable

By Donald Thronburg

from Pine Grove, CA

I purchased the 10' version of this cable. I have since been very pleased. It is very durable and tough. The sound quality is good. The cable even looks nice, too. I see complaints that the cable grip piece keeps coming loose. Which I suggest using some clear fingernail polish in the threads or auto thread un-threading liquid. This a nice, quality, affordable cable, and unless you want a super-nice cable, look no further. My only nagging question is why doesn't the manufacturer take care of the thread issue? Why!!
