  As I was trying to decide how to get more returns on my 16x4 stage snake, I thought to myself "If the return lines are TRS, Why can't I find an adaptor with (2) 1/4" male TS plugs into a single female TRS connector and seperate them at the other end of the snake with the reverse 1/4" TRS plug going to (2) female TS connectors. I found them at the Totowa, NJ store and it works GREAT. This is the solution all soundmen doing live shows need to have. Now with my 4 returns on the snake, I can run a stereo signal to the mains, 4 monitor feeds and still have 2 1/4" TS slots available to send signals back to the board for acoustic guitars or keys. The first guy I spoke to at the store said it could NOT be done, but the second guy said "I don't see why not! If you have TRS return lines on your snake, it should work fine." He and I were RIGHT. WORKS GREAT WITH NO CROSS-FEED. This one goes on the stage end of the snake and the TRS(F)-DUAL 1/4" MALE goes at the board end. Four sets of these and you have 8 returns! Before this, I was eating up Channel lines with adapters to get my stereo mains and 4 monitor sends back to the stage.
