Electricfying the classic

Comments about Line 6 Variax 300 Nylon String Classical Guitar:

Saw the nylon by chance and bought it on the spot. It's not an expensive guitar but there isn't anythinglike it out there. The modelling goes from a quieter Flamenco to a mellower tone ( Imitation of a Torres or Hauser, I think).Don't think the modeling is that accurate.I haven't heard either a Torres or a Hauser but it doesn't sound a Hirade I have and that's mellow. Still great effects, a tuner ( every guitar should have an onboard tuner).Has Martin ,Taylor and the others worked that out yet? Action is pretty good and on the low side for a nylon and the neck is a little thinner than most classicals but, still 2 " wide.I play it gently to stop the buzz and love it powered as well as unplugged or with a pocket amp and phones. You can even power it by mains via a junction box to save battery power. A great deal at the price but it is made in China. By the way it fits perfectly in a taylor T5 and with a small amoun of padding, in a gibson/Epi t335 case.

Many of us have waited a long time for this.

Comments about Line 6 Variax 300 Nylon String Classical Guitar:

I owned a few of brand name nylon and electric nylon guitars back from the 60's thru the 90's that were one trick poney's with progessive neck warps, poor playability, dull sound, dull looks, wanna be tone and feedback issues. I paid as much for them then as I paid for my variax 300 nylon that I own today. Out of the box, the action is could not have been better, the ability for me to blend and save my cherished sounds and tones are a God send. It is an attractive, smart looking instrument. When you sow up with it it will say a lot about you. I've been playing for a long time. I've owned and own a few high end guitars. The controllable sounds of the variax 300 nylon are very true and real. I call it the instrument for today's musican - Professional and up and coming who long for simplicity and quality. Steer clear of the nay sayer's. They are of the old school and are being left behind. I'm in my 50's. My life experiences tell me they are stuck. Get one or Experience one for yourself.
