I have much positive experience with Line 6. Their products I used to have spread from Pod, software based interfaces, Amplifi both floor effect, Amplifi TT and 100/75 combos, M13 multi effect, their looper (forgot the name).
I am the gadget guy and love tweaking my own sounds. I chose Spider V60 to be able to solo over my attempts recorded via Digitech Trio, routed to Boss RC-202 both aloud or using headphones. Works perfectly.
Firstly I erased all the presets and replaced them by my own which I use on my Amplifi TT. I must say that clean sounds it produces are excellent. I cannot generally judge high gain tones as I do not use them much but some of them I created for soloing are impressive to me.
Two things I love on Spider V - wireless connection with Line 6 relay 10 and sound streaming into iOS via USB. I can use all the range of my software effects in iPad and record directly in Auria, Cubasis, GarageBand. Possibilities are almost endless.
I do believe that future updates will deal with syncing of the rhythm section and time base fx which doesn't work automatically (nevertheless tempo tapping helps ).
Looper is unusable without external pedal ( I do believe Line 6 FBV Express II works for the purpose though it is not obvious from the manual ). It could be also fine to be able to loop AUX in signal which doesn't work at the moment.
Don't trust to those who say this products sucks. It really needs your attention to dial sounds you personally like. The app doesn't graphically appeal to me / the decision Line 6 chose in this aspect wasn't quite well.../ but tweaking tones via the app is a real joy.

I have to say, I've been a fan of line 6 products for a while, from their spider iv amps, their uber metal pedal and the hd500 multi effects, but I went to guitar center to test it out since I got concern when I watched the video that line 6 used as demo (which they already erased due to negative response), and If it wasn't for the sound I probably wold be the owner of a spider v.

I spend a lot of time playing and tweaking that amp at gc store, and even tho a lot of people love the sound and got interested in the amp due to what I was playing and the sound, I gotta say I couldn't achieve the tone I wanted. the clean sounds are awesome! and there's so much you can do with it, from effects, to pick cabinets, tweak EQ, you can achieve pretty much any sound with it (as long as you don't mind the tone).

Over the years I've notice more and more companies trying to get a more valveske sound when modeling but line 6 unfortunately still sounds digital, I tried and tried for a long time to get that squealing sound that you can only get with nice EQ, some clean amp gain and post amp gain, and nothing! you really can't get rid of the emulated tone, it sounds tiny and fake no matter what you do.

I know I'm complaining but I really got dissapointed with the sound, I got excited with all the features, great wireless system, effects, speakers, but I guess that all comes with a cost and in this case is the high gain tones, which in my opinion, I prefer to get another amp and buy line 6 wireless system independently. I mean I wanted to buy the 240w version of the spider 6 and on top of that the relay, when I could get my favorite distortion from a peavey vypyr vip and deal with cables or buy the relay.

Don't take me wrong, the amp sounds great but it is for begginers, and if you are planning on using it for recording then go better for a line 6 HD 500 or a digitech rp1000 for less than the amp

    Comments about Line 6 Spider V 60 60W 1x10 Guitar Combo Amp:

Truly enjoy going through hundreds of sounds. Bought it for looper and drum tracks which work nice, but need there pedal for activating the looper. I tried a TC looper in front, but signal gets lost..other effect pedals as well. Overall pleased , but saving up $250 for FBV 3 pedal board now.

      Comments about Line 6 Spider V 60 60W 1x10 Guitar Combo Amp:

I recently bought a Fender Classic Series 1960s Stratocaster and I needed a good amplifier to go along with it. After shopping at my local Guitar Center for an amplifier, I finally settled on the Spider V 60. I think it's enough power to hold you up during jam sessions and in small venues, and definitely enough for practice on your own. The true tone of my Stratocaster is expressed clearly through this amplifier. The sound is just amazing!

Not only is this amplifier for electric guitars, it's for acoustics too. I plugged in my Gibson J45 to try out the acoustic capabilities, and the acoustic settings lets the J45's natural sound be amplified without sacrificing the real tone of the guitar.

This amplifier is going along with today's technology because it's iOS and Android compatible. It also allows for an iPod/Mp3 player to be plugged in and played while you jam along to your favorite tunes.

In a nutshell, an amazing amplifier that supports both electric and acoustic guitars. One loaded with features, with a good amount of power. One that embraces today's technology that's also easy to use. This amplifier definitely stands out above all the others in its class and price range.

        Comments about Line 6 Spider V 60 60W 1x10 Guitar Combo Amp:

I am a rhythm guitarist and keyboard player and was looking for modernize and simplify my guitar setup for my gigging band. I downsized from a 2X12 combo amp with an array of stomp boxes. I am planning to use this without stomp boxes and just use the internal sounds.

I have been programming it most of the weekend getting ready for a gig next weekend. It is great to program it using an iPad and also great to be able to search for sounds in the cloud library with thousands of selections. I have been able to quickly create the patches I need for the gig.

Also I have the original FBV Shortboard (MK1) and although it is NOT list as being compatible with the amp works flawlessly with it.

I also do recording using Ableton Live and Logic and the USB integration to simply record your guitar into a DAW is drop dead simple and sounds nice

Learning how to get the best sound, might achieve it by experimenting, has all the bells n whistles that a Guitarists includes on a wish list, Please use a Good Quality Guitar you will be very surprised at its intrinsic qualities. For the size n convenience giving my Marshall, Twin and Vox a good turn of foot. A basic Bank switch thru the foot pedal is hugely missed, have to walk up to the Amp to manually turn it

I like this amp and have got some really good tones out of it. It work very well with my acoustic also. You have to shell out an extra $250 to get the footswitch to get the full potential of this amp. I think they should include it and just charge more for the whole unit. Even though you can adjust the tones and all pretty easy it's just not practical in a live performance situation. So if you are just picking around the house great amp for that but if you are going to gig or fully enjoy this amp better go ahead and shell out $250 for the foot switch.
