Amp Models:

Clean

Red LED: Crisp, shimmering clean tones and warm jazz tones.
Green LED: Glassy clean tones like those from the late 60s/early 70s. Inspired by a '73 Hiwatt Custom 100.

Twang

Red LED: Classic, glassy high-end with some snap and bite. Inspired by a Fender blackface '65 Twin Reverb and a blackface '64 Deluxe Reverb.
Green LED: Swingin' rockabilly tone a la vintage tweed. Inspired by a '53 Fender tweed Deluxe Reverb, a '58 Fender tweed Bassman, and a '60 Gibson Explorer.

Blues

Red LED: From gritty, swampy clean tones to syrupy smooth drive tones this was inspired by a mix of a '65 Marshall JTM-45, a '58 Fender Bassman, a '63 Fender Vibroverb, and a Supro.
Green LED: Early British rock tone made famous by the Beatles and the Stones. Inspired by a fawn Vox AC-30 with an updated and expanded tone control circuit.

Crunch

Red LED: Classic crunchy tone popularized by many early metal bands. Inspired by a '68 Marshall Plexi 50-watt.
Green LED: The infamous brown sound inspired by a '68 Marshall Plexi 100-watt with a few added extras - jumped input channels and a Variac transformer.

Metal

Red LED: Tight and punchy high-gain sound inspired by a Mesa/Boogie Dual Rectifier.
Green LED: Use this for aggressive high-gain sound. The mid knob sweeps the tone spectrum. Set to minimum for fuzz-pedal characteristics, set to noon for creamy, modern high-gain, or crank it for Class A carnage.

Insane

Red LED: Famed and feared bone-crushing, brain-piercing grind inspired by the Mesa/Boogie Dual Rectifier red channel.
Green LED: Short of a complete meltdown, this provides as much input-gain distortion as possible while retaining tonal definition and character.

Effects:

Spend more time playing and less time tweaking with Smart Control FX. Find the effect you want, turn the knob to the desired intensity, and you're done. Spider Jam offers seven effects, including dedicated Reverb, to choose from, and you can use up to three at a time. They include:

Chorus/Flanger
Phaser
Tremolo
Delay (with Tap Tempo)
Tape Echo (with Tap Tempo)
Sweep Echo (with Tap Tempo)

40 years of been there, done that has taught me alot...mainly that you have to keep an open mind, especially in music! I have played dang near every amp out over the last 50 years and have my favs, but this Line 6 Jam amp is not only alot of creative fun to work with, but the modeling is very, very impressive. I can hear alot of dead-on sounds with most of the amp models. Simple to use, motivates the creative juices, and sounds so flexible and easy to dial in. I wont be packing up my other amps, but this is my go-to for writing and recording. And I will gig with this! Backing tracks alone are worth this just for practice and writing.

This amp was great when I first purchased it. The instant record and loop function is really cool to play with. It's also nice that a mic can be plugged into it for recording and looping vocals and or acoustic guitar. Saddly, I started experienceing issues with the amp after 6 months of home use. When trying to save recorded tracks to the SD card slot the amp would shut off and nothing could be saved. I've also started to experience issues with the recording and looping function not working. Very dissapointed with the quality.

Comments about Line 6 Spider Jam 75W 1x12 Guitar Combo Amp:

If you are looking for a versatile and fun practice amp that you can record and gig with, this thing Rocks. I am primarily a bassist and just learning how to do leads on guitar and this amp fit the bill perfect. It does not have the warmth of a top of the line tube amp, but I did not need that as an intermidiate player. This thing has pretty awesome effects and tone varieties for about a couple hundred varieties and most I will never use. You can record, you can plug in a mic or a bass, you can jam tithe rhythm tracks, it has headphones so you play without waking the wife or neighbors, and a built-in tuner! That is just what I have discovered so far! The price makes this the perfect amp for practice, recording, and even small venue performances (half way up on the master and it is loud!) the only thing is it takes time to figure out and discover all the tones and capabilities, but that is also half the fun! Also the clean tones are good but not great. The distortions are fantastic! Not that the cleans are not useable, but they are bit thin for me. HIGHLY recommend!! Have fun!

I don't play shows anymore and has been several years since I really have picked up a guitar just to jam. I remember playing this amp at guitar center and just looping mad stuff, figured it would be perfect to just play in my room and have fun. I was right.

Comments about Line 6 Spider Jam 75W 1x12 Guitar Combo Amp:

I bought this amp last month and have been very happy. It has lot's of nice preset sounds and the sound is clear. I get no background noise at all. So if you are looking to upgrade to a better amp for a fair price, buy this amp. It is very fun to play.

Comments about Line 6 Spider Jam 75W 1x12 Guitar Combo Amp:

I normally have something detailed to say in a review, but all I can say here is wow. That and my friends keep joking I need to keep and eye on them as they may have the Jam 75 on their back as they leave my house. This is a serious amp. It can make any sound imaginable. I play a lot of Indy and 90's and this amp can handle that and much more. It can store complex sounds to your liking, or be as easy as pie with the 12 plug and play pre-sets. I was consiidering the spider 30, and thank my lucky stars I coughed up the extra $100 on the Jam 75. I have a few friends with 30's, and all lament they did not get the 75. Amp technology has come a long way in my 20 years of playing and no amp exemplifies that more than the Spider Jam 75. Best buy I've made in a long time.

            Swiss Army Knife of Amps

            By michael

            from Dallas, TX

Comments about Line 6 Spider Jam 75W 1x12 Guitar Combo Amp:

Decent practice amp. I bought it so I could play and record loops behind the drum tracks. Loop recording is kind of trickly unless you have one of the line 6 FBV foot pedals, so I think that is kind of a must if you want to do a lot of loop recording. I find the drum tracks useful but, even though there are a ton of them, there really isn't enough variety and you have to scroll through them to find the one you want since there is no way you can sort them by preference for future access. I don't use most of the features because I am either not interested (generic jam tracks) or it is just too hard to use the navigation menus. I wish there was some way to create your own models and access them through the FBV Mk2 pedal but I don't think there is. I have had this for about 2 months and so far it does what is most important to me. I have played with some tube amps recently and, obviously, this can't compete. I am in the market for one now but will keep this for practice.

            Great Sound and Price

            By Pete Van Winkle

            from Kennesaw GA

Comments about Line 6 Spider Jam 75W 1x12 Guitar Combo Amp:

Got the Line 6 Spider Jam 75 after some UTube research and an in store demo. This amp sounds excellent. The Clean and Twang channels are very good. Real nice with the five-position switch in the second (or is that the fourth?) position near the neck. Little reverb, chorus, and delay... you get the picture. It's real good. The green Crunch channel sounds like my old a Marshall 100W with a Super Overdrive pedal - great 80's Hard Rock sound. Boost for solos is an unexpected extra. The fact that you can jam with this amp (without loosing any sound quality) is a true bonus. The backing tracks give you hours of noodling, testing, retesting, sucking, and improving. You can record on this and it sounds good? Yes! This is my first Line 6 product. Overall rating is excellent. Very impressed.
