Edit, store and share. All via computer

Smart FX
Smart FX knobs put award-winning Line 6 effects at your fingertips. Easy to use, Smart FX let you spend less time tweaking and more time playing. Quickly add or remove any amount of the 20 lush reverbs, exceptional echoes, tangy mods, and more. Make all your adjustments on the fly-all the knobs are on the front panel. Up to 4 Smart FX can be used simultaneously.

Go deeper into FX
This Line 6 amp lets you deep dive into your effects like never before! Every effect is fully adjustable up to 7 parameters deep, including pre- and post-amplifier routing. Sculpt your delays, mods, reverbs, pitch effects, and more with unparalleled control.

Spider FX Infusion
What's better than more effects? More effects for free! Spider FX Infusion (a free download from Line6.com) more than doubles your amount of Smart FX. Beef up your Line 6 Spider IV 75 with 28 additional overdrives, compressors, delays, reverbs, mods, and wahs. You'll have more effects than any other modeling amplifier.

Pitch effects (Smart Harmony and Pitch Glide)
Smart Harmony is Line 6's first intelligent pitch shifter. It's fast-tracking and easy to use. Harmonize using major, minor, pentatonic, whole tone, and other types of scales. (Don't worry, you don't need to know music theory to use Smart Harmony).

Pitch Glide is most effective when used with an optional FBV MkII footcontroller. Use the footpedal to smoothly shift your tone up or down to any interval within a 4-octave range. The effect can be calibrated to semitones, or to 10-cent increments to create cool chorus/detuning effects.

Quick loop
Quick Loop is a 14-second sound-on-sound looper that's ideal for writing songs, practicing solos, jamming, and even dialing in your tone. Easy to use, Quick Loop's controls are all on the front panel. Connect an FBV MkII footcontroller for handsfree control of the looper functions.

Simultaneous FX
Use up to 8 effects at the same time! Pour on the colors and textures with all 4 Smart FX, set the adjustable Boost and the Noise Gate, activate Quick Loop, and connect an FBV MkII footcontroller to kick on the volume/wah pedal. How many other amplifiers can do that?

Speak up
Celestion guitar speakers are world renowned for their exceptional definition, clarity, and feel. And that's just what they give to Line 6 Spider IV 75. The 1x12" Celestion custom speaker helps clean tones sparkle and sing, creamy overdrives respond to the intricacies of your picking, and searing brutal tones launch themselves from the cabinet.

Manual mode
Manual mode draws a more traditional amplifier experience out of Line 6 Spider IV 75 guitar amp. When Manual mode is activated, all front-panel knobs work independently of one another. (Out of Manual mode, choosing an amp model may adjust the settings of the other front-panel knobs.)

Stay focused
To get the whole story of Spider IV 75 amplifier, you need to turn one around. It features a perfectly tuned three-quarter closed-back speaker cabinet. This provides a tight, punchy, focused response that you can't get from an open-back guitar speaker cab.

Tune up
You'll always sound your best with the Line 6 guitar amp's built-in tuner. No need for an external tuner or additional guitar cables, this invaluable tool is integrated into the amp's front panel. Activate the tuner with the push of a button.

Window to the soul
A large, two-line LCD is your window into Line 6 Spider IV 75. This is where you can deep dive into effects and adjust their parameters, scroll over 500 presets, see the tuner interface, name your user-created presets, get a visual representation of where your Smart FX knobs are set, and more.

Downloads and upgrades
Keep your Line 6 Spider IV 75 guitar amp up to date with an FBV MkII footcontroller. Connect the Spider IV 75 to Line6.com via an FBV MkII footcontroller to receiver valuable software and firmware updates and upgrades. These updates may include new features, presets, or effects for your Line 6 amp.

Foot controllers
FBV Express MkII delivers hands-free channel switching; FBV Shortboard MkII is a full-on remote control. They both feature a full-sized volume/wah pedal, chromatic tuner display, bright LEDs, durable footswitches and chassis, and more. They keep you at the foot of the stage instead of tied to the front of your Spider IV 75. They also feature USB connectivity for keeping your Spider IV 75 up to date. (Footcontrollers sold separately.)

The Spider IV is a tone jugernaut. It includes 16 ampmodels (clean, twang, class A, blues, crunch, high gain, metal, and insane), 8 red and 8 green (heavier version). You can create most all tones with these models, but if your not feeling creative there are 250+ preset artist and song tones. The majority of the artists are unknown, but the tones that they dialed in themselves are rock solid. As for the song presets, the best guitar songs from the 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's, and this decade have there tones programmed in the amp, this list includes Johnny B. Goode, Day Tripper, Gimme Shelter, Another Brick, Crazy Train, Back In Black, Enter Sandman, American Idiot, and many more. Line 6 could have saved some time by cutting down on the # of song tones, because many of the presets sound the same, like Hey Joe and Wind cries mary. Despite this Microscopic flaw, the Line 6 Spider IV is a fine amp with alot of other features, such as quick loop and auto wah.

When I was looking for a solid state with plenty of effects, I felt this one offered a breadth of options and a lot of flexibility.

The Good:
The control design is very straight forward, easy to use. There are Many good tones. It would be hard for any player to not find 1 to several good tones under the manual setting. Overall sound quality is good. Each of the 8 classes has 2 options, Red and Green. The Green is more scooped and the red more middy and open. If you have active pickups, the red settings for each will make your guitar really warm up. There are MANY presets. So many in fact it almost gets old to sit there and keep looking. What's nice is if you get bored with your manual settings, switch over to the presets and enjoy those. They are pretty darned close so if you follow a certain band, they most likely have one of their presets and its near identical.

The amp has a good speaker and the Tuner is very very good.

The Bad:
And most annoying feature is the digital decay this amp produces. You can hear the digital hisss break up at the end instead of a natural fade out or decay of your notes. This is very very very annoying which makes it useless for a recording. You're not gonna want this on your tracks. Also, this amp in general is rather bright. A lot of treble. But it is marginally manageable with the eq.

The reverb is not very good or strong in my opinion. Need to get it to 10 o clock to begin getting some flavor. Definitely needs improvement.

Also mine is less than a year old and I've had memory problems already. Meaning that if you save your settings on a channel and shut the amp off, when you turn it back on, it may sometimes not remember the saved setting which not only affects the tone but volume. So imagine all the work and time you've invested to find your tone and save it. You have set your tone, your volume, etc. then turn it off. Then come back later and its like a ghost came over to play this amp while you were gone. Completely on a whole other amp setting with a whole other volume which sucks if you play with or without headphones. This creates a lot of doubt and distrust with your amp as its not 100% reliable. I turn off the volume before plugging in every time now. This has happened probably 10-15 times in the last month, Dec 2014 to Jan 2015, and I bought this brand new in July 2014. I'm gonna have to have a tech look it over.

Also the emulated headphones out, does not sound close to what it sounds like without the headphones.

The concept is great, but the hardware/electronics is likely on the very low cheap end of Chinese Production. Like anything else, there is Excellent, Good and Poor Chinese Made Goods.

So in the end, there is 50% good and 50% bad. Unfortunately in my experience, the bad 50% outweighs the good.

No I would not buy another Line 6 ever
Nor would I recommend one to a friend.

Comments about Line 6 Spider IV 75 75W 1x12 Guitar Combo Amp:

Yes the metal sounds aren't that great I'm not gonna lie about that. But all you have to do is put the drive at 2, bass and mid at 6 and treble at 8 and use the clean channel. And now for your overdrive and distortion use a good drive and distortion pedal I use the BBE AM64 and the BOSS Metal Zone.
BBE Level Maxed, Tone 8, Gain 0. Boss level 8, treble 8, bass 5, Mid FREQ 5, Mid 2 Gain 5.
Boss NS-2 in front of that and you got your self a good metal sound. And if you want to do some Black Sabbath just max out the mids.

What little time on stage that I have with it, I would say that it was good once I found a tone that I could live with. The down side is that I bought the amp in February and by May it went to a repair shop in Dallas and has been there for 5 months. The repair shop states that the board that was needed has been on backorder and won't be in until November. I wasted money that I never got a return for my investment.

            Great amp...very powerful..has a ton of features,amps,effects,tuner,looper etc.
I bought the Fbv express mkII pedal for it and it made using it so much easier.

Sounds great on my Jackson electric and my Yamaha apx500III acoustic electric.
Amp is bigger than I thought but not to heavy.
At 75 watts it keeps up with high end amps without issue.

If you don't have a guitar cord make sure you buy one as it doesn't come with one.
I recommend getting the Fbv express mkII foot controller for volume swells and wah effect control.

Bought one of these from Musicians friend a few years ago, used it now and then for recording, then one day "POOF" a puff of smoke,, The tube amp was still alive but the modeling circuitry was fried ...no sound,,, and no warranty,,,I had less then 20 hours on it.
The only thing I got out of this was a 12" speaker,,, the rest is junk.

I have only had this amp for about two or so weeks, and it is fantastic. I still haven't learned everything that it does. I have used it for performance, and for home practices, and I love it. It has excellent power range and a myriad of presets that will take a lone time to figure them all out, but thats okay. Thanks Guitar Center, and thank you Line 6.
