Play with Johnny Marr's bright, snappy rhythm tones-and even a well-known signature tremolo tone from his past is built into the Line 6 Spider IV.

This 150W Spider IV Combo will have you rocking with almost 200 dialed in song-based presets for access to legendary guitar tones from the vibey rockabilly slapback of the '50s to the mid-range mayhem of today. Get the tones of Master of Puppets, Back in Black, Whole Lotta Love, Daytripper, Toxicity, Purple Haze, Head Like a Hole, Smells Like Teen Spirit, Crazy Train and more.

All the Vintage and Modern Amp Tones You Want
Spinning the amp model knob on the front panel of Spider IV 150 is like browsing through a museum of the most revered guitar tones of all time. Vintage British beauties, modern American monsters and more, Spider IV 150 features the 16 celebrated amp tones that all guitarists want in their collections.

Play with sparkling clean tones based on a 1973 Hiwatt Custom 100, syrupy smooth drive tones based on a mix of a '65 Marshall JTM-45, a '58 Fender Bassman and a '63 Fender Vibroverb, British pop/rock tones based on a fawn Vox AC-30, high-gain onslaughts based on a Mesa/Boogie Dual Rectifier and a Diezel Herbert, the Class A crunch based on a Divided by 13 9/15, the classic Class A breakup based on an Orange AD-30, and more.

An Instant Collection of Essential FX
At your fingertips are 20 brilliant models of sought-after stompbox and studio effects. Discover the world-class Intelligent Pitch-shifter (a Line 6 first), the adjustable Auto-Wah and the on-board Looper: three cutting-edge effects that are mandatory for every pro player.

An inspiring guitar effect, the looper can also help you in other ways. Use it to audition your tone with your hands free. Play a riff, loop it, and dial in your tone while the riff is looping.

Quickly add gorgeous colors and textures to your tones with the easy-to-use Smart FX swish knobs. Your music will never be the same with the inspiring analog and digital delays, spacey tape and sweep echoes, tangy mods, lush spring and plate reverbs and more. Plus, Tap Tempo syncs all your time-based effects.

Use up to four effects simultaneously. Each one can be fully edited and customized with control over signal flow routing (pre amp or post amp).

Total Tone Flexibility
The easy-to-use front panel of Spider IV 150 makes it a snap to find a stage-ready tone. Quickly and easily add some grit with the Drive knob and some dimension (or dementia) with the wide variety of effects.

Need to shape your tone? Tweak the Bass, Mid and Treble knobs just like you would on a vintage amp. When you choose an amp model, the Spider IV 150 EQ section behaves just like the EQ section of the modeled amplifier. Spider IV 150 gives you a complete, organic and fully authentic representation of 16 vintage and modern amplifiers.

Spider IV 150 provides all the flexibility and conveniences that guitarists expect from a world-class Line 6 amplifier. Jam along to your favorite music with the CD/MP3 input and play all night with the great-sounding headphone output (that doubles as a high-quality direct-recording output). Plus, the built-in chromatic tuner is always at the ready to keep you sounding your best.

Power, Speakers and Construction
Every aspect of the brilliant Spider IV 150 tone, from its guitar input to its 12" Celestion Custom speakers, delivers exceptional definition, clarity and feel. Clean tones sparkle and sing, creamy overdrives respond to the intricacies of your picking, and searing brutal tones launch themselves from the speakers. The three-quarter closed-back cabinet provides a tight, snappy response reminiscent of bigger (and more expensive) boutique amplifiers.

First, I have read all the other reviews. To those of you who think the (digital) doesn't sound like analog it has the analog effects in it as well as the digital. Thats 1, 2 is you have to read the book on how to program sounds so that you understand how to adjust things. If you think this is your Fender you are sadly mistaken. This amp was designed by some of the best in the field. It has pitch glide which you can control vial shortboard, mkexpress or an expression pedal, also you can set it to whatever pitch you want so you don't have to control it. You get 16 seconds of loop so you can play over what you just recorded. Another helpful thing is the shortboard which allows you to add the effects you have set up on the fly or take them away. This amp has built in boost and with the shortboard works as an extra compressor/eq or about 5 other types of distortion boosts and gain boosts. Seriously guys, read the manual and you will find that it will do whatever you want it to do just short of landing you on the moon. It is better than any Marshall save the Plexi 100 (which it has a model programmed for). Fenders are rendered firewood after you understand how to use this amp. Line 6 has the best online tech support as well as customer support I have found and all does 10 times more than any fender, vox, b52, crate, crank, orange or other amp I could possibly name. It does 10 times more for 10 times less or atleast half the price. You can save the manual via pdf file on your laptop or desktop computer, print it out or just have the e-file for yourself. If you can't understand or figure something out then call the support line. They are very helpful. I love this amp and everyone I have shown how to set it up has decided they like it better. One was a true tube nut. He believed nothing but Fender would suffice. I put his twin reverb to shame. Same clarity, twice the volume. Oh and you can buy the Line 6 4x12 cab and plug it right in, instant 3/4 stereo stack. Buy this amp. You will not be disappointed

I'll be honest here so that everyone knows NOT to buy this amp. Line6 has many good products for sale, but this one by far is the most buggy, poorly built, and least dependable of their products. I in no way intend to hurt Guitar Center's sales as they have been very good to me over the past 6 years. NOW for the review: Firstly, if you think I may just be ranting, think again. Please go to Line6's website and look at all the questions about "why my amp is buzzing" or "why does the volume keep cutting in and out?" About 2 months after purchasing this amp, I noticed that while playing, my volume would drop and then come back mid song. This went on for a few weeks and just disappeared out of no where. As of the beginning of this month, the "Phones Out Direct Out" jack stopped working out of nowhere, leaving me with no way to record. Took it to a shop and to my neighbor who is an electrical engineer who has fixed many Line6 amps, especially Spider IV series. No problem could be found, the shop just said I was S.O.L and to deal with it. Took it to multiple other shops, and the same thing was said to me each time. As of 2 days ago, I no longer have full sound in my amp. It sounds as if the sound isn't being transferred from the guitar to the amp correctly. Looked at the shortboard and motherboard and nothing of any "wrongs" could be found. Posted on Line6 forums for support, got no response. Spent 40 minutes on hold waiting to speak to a support technician, and not only was he of NO help whatsoever, he pretty much told me to "get over it." I'm sorry, but in my opinion, my $500 could have been spent on a company who actually cares about customers. If you want your money to be both better spent and appreciated, DO NOT purchase this product. If you think I'm just ranting because my amp broke, by all means, go to the line 6 forums and see how many people are having ridiculous problems with their amps. Having to factory reset it, flash it via SD card...waste of time and money.

Good Quality for an Affordable Price

By scottyXdont

Comments about Line 6 Spider IV 150 150W 2x12 Guitar Combo Amp:

I recently purchased amp as a last resort. My super old Line 6 Spider 2 finally died on me after almost 6 years of continous play 3 hours before a gig. I needed an amp to replace it, so i just went with what i was already acustomed to and comfortable with. for musicians who currently or previously own a Line 6 Spider series amp, this is a pretty decent upgrade. At first, i didn't think much of this amp. I thought Line 6 was just running out of ideas. It has some pretty ok tones and a bank of a thousand presets. If there is a particular song that you like but can't seem to make the setting for, than this is a good amp. I especially like that you can tweak an existing preset and rename it to make it unique and identifiable. The new effects that they've added are definitely a plus. The auto wah and pitch bender are great. This amp is great for first-timers and musicians on a budget. You get alot of professional settings and effects all crammed into one package.

Comments about Line 6 Spider IV 150 150W 2x12 Guitar Combo Amp:

I've had this amp for about 2 years now, and i've gotta say, it's by far the best sounding amp i've owned. i bought this as an upgrade to my marshall 100 watt, and there is no comparison. This amp is hands down the best for the price. the clean channel sounds exactly like an acoustic, and the reverb is incredible. overall, this is a wonderful amp.

BEST AMP IVE EVER OWNED

By Bob Gates

Comments about Line 6 Spider IV 150 150W 2x12 Guitar Combo Amp:

This amp is by far my most favorite amp i have owned and puts any peavy, fender, marshall, b52 or kustom amp that i have owned prior to shame. The options and effects this amp uses are user friendly and sound fantastic. I am very happy with my purchase. I recommend this amp to anyone from beginner to advanced. There is NOTHING is better for the price with these features! Worth every penny.

Comments about Line 6 Spider IV 150 150W 2x12 Guitar Combo Amp:

Got this amp a little while back, my cousin had this amp and I thought it was awesome, and that was before I got to mess with the effects. This amp is so versitile, you can get almost any sound you want out of this amp, with exception of a really heavy distortion, which I recommend getting a boss mt-2 pedal for that. The presets are awesome, you can play some of the most famous songs ever (my favorites on this amp are master of puppets and enter sandman). So all in all, great amp and good price.

Line 6 must have listened

By Kevin

from Cincinnati, OH

Comments about Line 6 Spider IV 150 150W 2x12 Guitar Combo Amp:

Honestly I thought the Spider III was a great amp. I only had a couple of complaints. The effects weren't very tweakable. The back of the cab was too open, which caused a lot of lost "thump" out the back. As soon as I read the specs of this new line I bought the 150 combo. This thing is really great. There are tons of presets which serve as good building blocks for making your own tones. What's nice is you can store a ton of them after you create them. They added deep editing to all the effects. That's really nice and makes them very usable. They closed the back of the cab 3/4 which adds to the low-end. All in all it's hard to imagine more amp for the money. Is it comparable to an expensive tube amp? Of course not. Is it still a full featured, very giggable amp? Absolutely. I'm as picky as anyone and I love this thing. I've also been playing many styles for over 30 years so I know what I'm talking about.

Helluvan amp!

By SonicMarauder

from Indamiddleof, NJ

Comments about Line 6 Spider IV 150 150W 2x12 Guitar Combo Amp:

Very capable amp. Has all the power, modelling and effects you could hope for in a 2x12 combo. Layout is pretty much straightforward and the functions are easily navigated with minimal tutelage. This is a welcome addition to my Line6 15W 1x8 Spider III and Line6 150W 2x12 Spider III; it certainly is a noticable upgrade in terms of modelling, etc. to the Spider III. The quality is evident, and the amp sounds awesome. Online support (including printable advanced guide) and additional goodies w/ product registration are a big plus also. When I bought the Spider IV 150W, it was to replace my Mesa. 'Nuff said.

Not for anyone seeking original sound

By Seth Allen

from Dayton, Nv

Comments about Line 6 Spider IV 150 150W 2x12 Guitar Combo Amp:

I've had the older version of this amp for quite a while so it is reliable. The distortion sounds like someone is holding some thing in front of the speaker, seriously lacking definition. The clean is good if you can set it right but don't turn any of the knobs or its right back the way it was when you started. All of the effects would be good if you didn't have to go through a million presets to find them. Finally I thought my friend was lying when he told me the built in tuner is way off, he's right I play a 7 sting & my large B was a C# just for an example.

Sick of it

By Robb G.

from Spencer, Massachusetts

Comments about Line 6 Spider IV 150 150W 2x12 Guitar Combo Amp:

I've been playing the guitar for seven years, and I've always played Line 6, but I have to say that it may be good for people looking to just play for fun, but not so great for those looking to record. I'd just like to point out that digital effects are nowhere close to analog effects in clarity and tone, and that playing with analog effects on the clean channel on a Line 6 is terrible. So if you're not looking to record, go with Line 6, otherwise just buy analog effects pedals for the clarity and desired tone.

Awesome Amp

By Richard Taylor

Comments about Line 6 Spider IV 150 150W 2x12 Guitar Combo Amp:

I received this for christmas and although I use a different brand with tubes, I was extremely impressed by the tones I was able to get and the overdrive. Furthermore, the fact that you can download an app (line 6 website and you need the foot petal) and control the entire amp through your computer is incredible! I was able to increase all my overdrive this way to the exact tone I was looking for with ease! If you have not downloaded monkey and spider IV edit... you must! I give this amp 5 stars and then some!

A perfect Teaching/practicing/jamming Amp

By Mark Tripp

from Syracuse, NY

Comments about Line 6 Spider IV 150 150W 2x12 Guitar Combo Amp:

Before buying, you must be forewarned: This amp is considered, by the community, to give sub-par performances in a live setting, due to it's computer chip-powered output being interfered with by drums. That being said, this amp is absolutely perfect for every other situation. I have used this amp for a little over 6 months at this point, and have not been disappointed once. Though it most certainly excels in a metal setting, with a bit of tweaking and good knowledge about what all of those crazy knobs on the amp do, you'll have a majestic clean sound in no time (as long as your using a guitar conducive for clean tones, of course. "Metal" guitars still probably wouldn't sound great clean, for example). During my times teaching, practicing, jamming, and writing with this amp, I have hit no points where I needed something that this amp didn't have. It's wide range of tones will please any student, while it's large library of effects will please even the quirkiest songwriter. This is truly a masterful amp when used correctly.

Don`t listen to the non sense

By James Brady

from Laurel,MS

Comments about Line 6 Spider IV 150 150W 2x12 Guitar Combo Amp:

All this talk about bugs within the amp, drums messing it up, good for jamming at home is amazing. This amp is great. I have been playing for over 20 years. I`ve used Fender Twins, and Supers, the older model Boogies, the newer Mesa amps, etc. This amp is absolutely perfect for anyone short of someone on tour with Shinedown or Miranda Lambert or Eric Clapton, get the point? The amp is built for versatility so any type music can be played while using it and it works perfectly. I play many genres of music with this amp including Blues, Country, Rock, Metal, Jazz, 80`s, 90`s, now, west coast, east coast, you name it. It is perfect. I get Stevie Ray Vaughn tone to the thick Albert King,...I get the country twang, I get grunge, metal in any shape, the rough rock, the smooth jazz, the ultra clean the nasty of nastys. Also simplifies things for a working musician by completely removing the need to carry around a bunch of pedals. Whats the point in using this amp if youre gonna plug in a dozen more effects?/ The amp already has more than anyone could use IF they know how to use it. Most thrashers and beginners like the amp because of the bells and whistles. They get it and crank it to the 9 with no idea of how to use it. You wanna hear this amp do what it can do then come to any of my shows. You wont know if the sound is coming from the Fender Twin, The Orange amp or the Line 6 and I`ll never tell ya. ...LOVE IT!

AMAZING AMP!

By Raul Estrada

from San Antonio, Texas

Comments about Line 6 Spider IV 150 150W 2x12 Guitar Combo Amp:

Well, Its been almost a year since I bought this amp. I've been using it for my band and there has been no problem with it. The drummer plays way to loud, and the bass player has a 350 watts amp, and once I volume up alittle the master volume, I get over the drumset and the bass. Using it to play live, its awesome! You can get to very quite loud volume. About the effects, you don't need to buy individual pedals. This amp has about 250 effects, that you can modify and move them around if necessary! The only detail is that it is VERY heavy, if you want to move it around, you should buy a base with wheels. But Besides that, AMAZING AMPLIFIER!

Nice Amp

Comments about Line 6 Spider IV 150 150W 2x12 Guitar Combo Amp:

This amp is very loud. It has a wide variety of effects and presets that as advertised allow you to create a large variety of tones. If your intentions are to hook up an effects pedal test before you buy! Especially if a distortion pedal is to be used. (My distortion pedal made this amp sound terrible!) MXR FULLBORE DISTORTION is not to be used with this amp under any circumstances... ..TERRIBLE!! Over all I like this amp I just wish that 1.) it didn't respond so poorly when you introduce your own effects to it and 2.) the layout of the knob right under the LCD screen makes difficult to adjust and see what your doing at the same time. Again, Great Amp, Still glad I bought it. Just need to find the right distortion pedal and I'll be set.

Love the sounds that come out of this amp. I have been looking for that surfer sound and the Line 6 delivers. Crisp tone quality and a real nice reverb. I would recommend this amp to any lead guitar player. So many sounds to choose from. Boss Amp!
