I've got so many presets to experiment and play with that it's driving me insane. The sound is dynamic. The clean is like listening to a calm mountain lake that is crystal clear. The insane rock setting makes my fillings hurt. And the blues, brother will bring tears of joy to your eyes. Now I'm no pro, but I know what I like. I don't have a bottomless bank account, and no one ever gave me a silver spoon... so I check out a number of amps and did the "who said what" on the internet before I bought. Check it out. Go to a GC grab the same type of axe you own and try out several amps. Research is cool, but no substitute for hands on.

this amp has a huge variety of sounds and effects. it is essentially a jack of all trades but master of none. although you can get a ton of tones from this amp none of them are particularly special. this amp is fine if you wanna be a cover artist but you cant really create a unique tone with this amp. also mine has had some problems: the input jack is loose, the sound cracks once you turn it up and overall poor quality. buy a Marshall. trust me

PERFECT!!!

By Zach

from seattle, washington

While I don't own this amp myself I have played my friends and there is no end to what you can do. It doesn't matter if you're a blues, rock or metal fan because this amp will make your dreams come true. While the sound and effects are killer I wouldn't recommend this amp for live shows because this is mainly a perfect practice amp.

Everything I thought it could be

By Rob Dawson

I love this amp. I got it for christmas over nine months ago and it made me want to play my guitar again. I went from a 15 Watt crate amp to this. Yay! This has to be the best amp ever. Buy this amp. Do it... Do it

AWESOME!!!!!

By Erik

from Nederland, CO

This thing is the most incredible piece of guitar machinery I own...aside from my guitar. If you're looking for something with awesome tone and high volumes this will not disappoint. It blew my friend's full cabinet out of the water. This is a must buy if you don't want to shell out the money for a Line 6 cabinet. Plus, with the FBV Express Footswitch, you will be a force to be reckoned with.

Great amp, great price

By Scott

from Dallas, TX

I bought this amp to replace a burned-out Marshall that I had previously bought. I have to say that the Spider III is twice the amp that I ever got out of my Marshall. It has all the controls that you need to tweak your sound until you find the one that fits you like a glove. If you are looking for a great metal rhythm guitar sound, pair this amp up with a Les Paul or almost any PRS.... You will not be disappointed!!!

Could be better

By joe

from natick, ma

i have had this amp for about 2 years now, the effects on it could be alot better. i had to mess with the knobs a little bit to get a clean tone i liked alot and i found it finally. but overall its good for beginners and like intermediate players. if youre gonna play small gigs and stuff, dont buy this amp. the louder it goes the more feedback. this amp is a good recording amp though.

Alot of fun

By Anthony

from Blaine Washington

Like it says, its ALOT of fun to play. The amp channels, just really your distortion type. The clean. They're ok, not great. You could probably dial in a really good clean sound honestly, but I could never get anything I really liked from it. Distortion. Excellent. I usually played on the metal channel, and it says its based on a mesa. I know some of the music I played was through a mesa, and I can honestly say I got some tones pretty close to them, and thats without a bunch of pedals or anytning. The metal and insane channels really do sound great. The effects. Great fun. I've never really used effects before, so I cant say if theyre any good. But just messing around with them, theyre alot of fun. IMO the delay is great, I use it quite a bit and it seems great. And the presets... Never really use them. Maybe 1 or 2, and I usually change them a little. Final Opinion: Great buy honetsly

Great amp at a great price

By Scott

from Dallas Area

This amp is loaded with enough effects to make almost any sound you could imagine. I especially love it hooked up with my Les Paul and my Ibanez RG series guitars. The low end on this amp is out of this world; it sounds like twice the amp that it is. I bought this one to replace a Marshall 80 watt 1x12 that burned out on me, and I honestly have to say that I am very happy with the replacement. Buy the FBV2 pedal to go with it, and it makes the amp that much more enjoyable.

This thing is incredible.

By Barackin' In The Free World

from Bellingham, WA

This amp roars! All the settings and effects and built in things are really cool and very useful, and if you get a footswitch it's even better. You could play with all the options forever, lol, but you can just turn it on and get straight to playing too if you don't want to mess around. Once you are dialed in and have everything set, this baby really let's you unleash. I have limited space in my place, and while I wouldn't call this amp small, it's just small enough, but still big enough to give you huge sound. Having all the effects/tuner/ etc. built in also helps save space. If you need something smaller than a half stack, then this is what you get. If you want something compact but with all the power and options, this is what you get. If you want to have fun playing at home, this is what you get.
