I've got so many presets to experiment and play with that it's driving me insane. The sound is dynamic. The clean is like listening to a calm mountain lake that is crystal clear. The insane rock setting makes my fillings hurt. And the blues, brother will bring tears of joy to your eyes. Now I'm no pro, but I know what I like. I don't have a bottomless bank account, and no one ever gave me a silver spoon... so I check out a number of amps and did the "who said what" on the internet before I bought. Check it out. Go to a GC grab the same type of axe you own and try out several amps. Research is cool, but no substitute for hands on.

this amp has a huge variety of sounds and effects. it is essentially a jack of all trades but master of none. although you can get a ton of tones from this amp none of them are particularly special. this amp is fine if you wanna be a cover artist but you cant really create a unique tone with this amp. also mine has had some problems: the input jack is loose, the sound cracks once you turn it up and overall poor quality. buy a Marshall. trust me

Amazing Amp

By Big Mack

from New Jersey

This amp is one of the best amps i've ever played on. I have played Marshall half stacks, and full stacks before, but this by far is still the best. While the Marshall tone is seemingly unbeatable, I think you'll enjoy this amp as it gives the Marshall a little bit of competition. Good Amp for the price. Fully Reccommend

BRILLIANT!!!

By 6 Stringed Maniac029

from Sanbernardino, CA

The creators of this amp are geniuses'! No matter what your style of playing, this amp does it all! I have owned this amp for almost a year now, it has killer distortion, warm clean, and anything you desire! And with 150 presets, including some from Killswitch Engage, Slipknot, John 5, and so many more...you have killer tone right there at the touch of a button. This amp also has 12 amp models and six efects, which provide a huge range of tone. This is a great gigging amp, and also a bargain at $399.99. So what are you waiting for? Get yours today!!!

Rocking amp

By Webserfer1980

from Great Bend, Ks

I shopped for a long time trying almost all of the major brands of amps. I found that this one is one of the most veristile and frankly one of the best sounding amps out there. You can play anything from classic country to the heaviest metal at the push of a button. The only problem I did have is the first one I bought was defective and just plain quit working after about an hour. The display would show squares but nothing else would come on. That was the only reason I did not give it perfect scores. This amp is an exellent buy.

This Is One Powerhouse Amp!!!

By Ricky

from Mississippi

This Amp fell into my hands about a month ago. First it took me a while to checkout all of the amazing amp models and presets, but ever since, I have been shredding for countless hours every day and night. It has great distortion effects and has an even greater price. I have a Gibson SG and an ESP and this amp puts a punch to both of them. I definately recommend! It is a powerhouse amp with a great price!

This amp is incredible. I've never seen anything like it. It puts my multi-effects pedal to shame. This thing is amazing!

WOW...

By EmperorHelix

from New York City, NY

I have used this amp in the Guitar Center stores here in New York City, and I have to say, this amp is probably the best amp I have ever used a guitar on. The sound on it is simply amazing. When I first used it, it almost literally blew me away. I could do just about any kind of style of music my heart wants to play at the touch of a knob. The "Insane" Channel is truly INSANE. Plays better than all your dreams combined. If you want a cheap amp for great sound and quality, GET THIS AMP, YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!

AMAZING AMP!!!

By dAtAzNiNvaZin256

from Marlboro

I tried out this amp while i was deciding to buy my new guitar. This large amp has a good amount of watts to make jam sessions an ease for the drummer, and just being able to crank it up without being scared of blowing your amp is a good thing about it. I tried this amp out, and its many effects sounded like they were floor pedals, and they sounded nothing like amp effects. The Line 6 Spider III is possibly one of the best amps i have ever used. I recommend this amp to anyone who wants to play live at small cofee houses and even in shows. It might not be big enough for a little concert, but if you just need an amp to hear yourself onstage, like a monitor or anything, it is a wonderful amp, that has worked wonders for me.

Awesome!!!! Line6 has done it again!

By guitar38464

from Southern Tennessee

Line6 has done it again! They have taken an already great amp and turned it into one of the best (it not the best)ever!! I have always been a Line6 fan but this one is over the top! The Spider2 was already a great amp but adding the digital screen made it incredibly user friendly! I already own the FLEXTONE amp and the PODXT and let me say that I tend to be pretty rough on my gear and Line6 builds very rugged gear that will stand up in any situation and last a life time. The effects are as good as they get, they are as good if not better than brands that cost 3 or 4 times as much. This amp will not disappoint you!

Best Deal I've evern seen

By Roy

from ID

What? The Spider II gets better? Yes! it's called a Spider III. I didn't know the Spider II could get better, but seems like Line 6 has done it again. The digital screen makes everything so much easier, and now with this amp you can forget buying that 500 dollar effects pad and and get this amp instead to kill two birds with one stone. No flaws in this whatsoever.. amazing. Thank you Guitarcenter + Line6!

Great!!

By guitarLover

from richmond, ca

My band and I purchased the Line 6 Spider III 120 cause we had broken our last amp and this was a great choice. It was a bit pricey at first but after I saw how many different mixes it has it was totally worth every penny. It is not only great for gigs but its also easy to transport. I would recommend this to everyone.

Great Amp

By Tim

from Maryland

I bought this amp looking to replace a well used practice amp. I had seen the reviews and when I mentioned to the salesperson I was in the market for a new amp, I was led straight to the Spiders. I tried it, now I own it. I love it. It gives you a lot of versatility and in all is just a fun amp to work with. I would highly suggest this amp. There are a few quirks I have with it but nothing to stop me from enjoying it.

Simply put: WOW!!

By Bluzman1954

from Fort Worth, TX

Just purchased this one. Too cool for words. I really didn't think I would like a modeling amp, but I was wrong. If you are just playing for fun or if you make your living at it, you can't go wrong here. I've been at this for over 40 years and this amp put some fun back in my musical life.

Perfect!!!

By James

from Bolivar, Ohio

I bought this amp after reading many reviews. I did alot of research on the new Spider III. What I was looking for was the most modern distortion I could find in a combo amp. At a certain price range.... And, a great clean sound also. I was alittle concerned about the 10in. speakers, because I've always had 12in... With all the great reviews I read, and all the effects/distortions I wanted, and the lighter 10in. speaker cabinet. I have found everything I was looking for, and much more.... This amp has a great sound! Awesome distortion. And great power! The 10in. speakers kick!!! I've owned this amp for a few weeks now, I have played one live show with it. It has added so much to our overall sound... I am a happy camper! I have already sold all my stomp boxes... don't need them any more!!!!

awesome

By vinny

from ohio

After years of playing in front of a wall of marshall stacks, I am proud to say I love the tones in this amp. After years of performing with large roadcases full of effects racks and processers, where was this amp when my band was rockin out back in the day. I love this amp

I can't believe this thing!

By chachieArcola

from Clawson, MI

I had a list of possible amps in the 200-500 price range. I tried a few at the store (including the tubes in this range). It was easy to know this was the right combo. I am not kidding when I tell you that some of the presets are spot on. Check out Line6.com for all the presets. Without tubes this thing can sound like the hottest tube amp you've ever played. You just have to hear it to believe it. Also, before I tried it out, I was concerned that the 10-in speakers wouldn't be able to produce the thumpy crunch of a 4x12 half stack - it really does does. If you have you doubts, go to the store and try it. I'm sure you'll see what I mean. The one thing this amp lacks is thorough documentation for controlling the effects. Do not be fooled by pilot's guide title. It's more like the little fledgling guide. You'll have to fiddle with the controls a bit to understand how you can get this to do everything it can do.

U Won't Believe It!!!

By TOTAL PUNKER

This amp is perfect, it has everything that you need to start doing gigs around town. This thing has so much power that when i hook my fender strat up to it i could blow the windows out of my house... if you're a novice to intermediate player this amp is for you. I'ts loud and has many other features that you have to check out! I also would recomend getting the $100 pedal that could come with it also to completely max this amp out. Line 6 is a great amp and they take the cake with this amp!!!

The Spider Amp

By Ibanezshredder

from Dallas Tx

Well,Ive played this amp a few times and I say it's a very good amp for the price. it gets very loud but can start to rattle and that can really start to affect the tone. It is very portable. Outside, inside, anywhere it doesnt matter it'll no doubtably go or fit any where with you. it is important that you also get the FBV pedal, itll surely make switching presets alot easyer. its great variety of effects will be enough to achieve almost any tone you want. no doupt, you'll be pleased with this amp. p.s The one really good thing about this amp is the effects because of the variety. I would recomend a Marshall amp though, I think the Marshall tone still knocks this amp out.
