Overview

The Line 6 M13 Stompbox Modeler has the soul of a multi effect pedal and the power of a rack. It boasts a complete collection of the immortal stompbox effects, stompbox simplicity, rock-solid construction, and much more.

A complete collection of immortal stompbox sounds
Teeming with over 100 immortal distortions, reverbs, delays, and more, the Line 6 M13 pedal offers instant access to an arsenal of history's most celebrated stompbox sounds.

Get 19 celebrated analog and digital delays, 18 distinctive distortions from creamy to crazy, 12 reverbs from modern (particle verb) to vintage (spring reverb) to ancient (cave reverb), 26 vibey filters including wahs and pitch effects, 22 tangy mods including expressive trems and phasers, and 12 compressors and EQs that squash, gate and color.

The Line 6 pedal lets you use up to four models simultaneously, in any order and in any combination. It's like having a gigantic pedal board (without all the tangled cords and overloaded power strips) stuffed into a convenient, easy-to-use package.

Included are all the models from best-selling Line 6 pedals and rack gear DL4 Delay Modeler, DM4 Distortion Modeler, FM4 Filter Modeler, MM4 Modulation Modeler, Verbzilla, Echo Pro and others.

Stompbox simple
The Line 6 M13 Stompbox Modeler is easy to use, just like a classic stompbox. Tweak your tones on the fly using the dedicated knobs. No menus, no saving, no hassles-just turn the knobs and you're done. And your settings remain when you power down!

Four bright LCD screens show parameter names and values, and the built-in chromatic tuner.

Built-in looper
The 28-second looper is always at the ready with dedicated footswitches for Play/Stop, Undo/Redo, Rec/Overdub, Half Speed, Reverse, Play Once, and Pre/Post. You're free to adjust your sounds while looping or overdubbing.

Up to 48 different pedal boards
Different arrangements of models, or pedal board "scenes," can be created for each of your gigs-one for your metal band, one for your punk band, one for your Top 40 gig¦you get the picture. No more tearing up Velcro just to swap one or two pedals. Create and save up to 48 scenes. (Scenes can be backed up to your computer via MIDI in/out.)

Ins and outs
M13 Stompbox Modeler plays well with others. Take advantage of the stereo FX loop and put your other effect pedals in front, behind or even in between M13 Stompbox Modeler's models.

Prepared for any live or studio situation, Line 6 M13 guitar pedal features mono/stereo inputs and outputs (with True Analog bypass or DSP bypass), mono/stereo assignable FX sends and returns, MIDI input and output and two expression pedal inputs.

Total stompbox experience
Built tank-tough with all-metal construction, Line 6 M13 multi effects pedal is designed to survive on-stage abuse. From the chassis to the footswitches, it'll withstand constant stomping.

M13 Stompbox Modeler's treasured stompbox tones, built-in chromatic tuner, 28-second looper and bonehead simplicity will prove totally indispensable (not to mention highly addictive).

Check the Line 6 website for software updates that increase the power of your Line 6 M9 Stompbox Modeler!

I was running a line 6 x3 live in the front of my amp(egnater tourmaster 4212 which is one of the best sounding amps i have heard especially for that price). i was only using the overdrive and wah, then if i wanted delay i would have to re route the pod to the effects loop. i also had a rat distortion and a boss loop station pedal. so i decided to trade all of that for the m13. i can honestly say i couldn't be happier. i can now put a tube screamer and distortion in the front of the amp and my delays and mods in the effects loop with no hassle in one convenient pedal. all the effects and i mean all of them respond so good, like the pedals there modeled after to the warmth of the tubes. it is going to be hard for line 6 or any other company to out do this for this price as far as effects go. get this pedal.

I bought this unit about 6 months ago in the hopes that this would be a total solution for controlling midi with stomp box effects. While the effects are decent sounding...(not stomp box quality), the midi has latency (about 1/2 second) which might not seem like much, but switching at different tempos with any kind of challenging part can become a next-to-impossible feat. Had i known this was going to have problems with the midi, i never would have bought this unit.

Comments about Line 6 M13 Stompbox Modeler Guitar Multi Effects Pedal:

In front of a properly biased and maintained tube amp this pedal is just about unbeatable.I gigged it for two nights last weekend with great results using my Crate V1512 and JCM 800 model 4010 amps.Jazz-Blues -Metal Alt etc...all sounded and most of all felt great!Mine was purchased used from GC and I updated the firmware from 1.04 to 2.04.Very high quality unit!

52 year old guitar geek!

By Jerome Monson

from Austin, TX

Comments about Line 6 M13 Stompbox Modeler Guitar Multi Effects Pedal:

I've been playing pro and semi pro since 1976. This box rocks! Features: 100+ different effects and a looper with undo/redo/reverse, globally controllable. This unit exceeded all of my expectations. Q and R: Don't know yet, only had it for a week. (I'll be back!) L and F: Pro unit/folded steel. Nice l.e.d. displays and indicator lights. Okay, now the news: I had some trouble with the looper, initially, operator error. It worked beautifully on a song called "Pali Gap" with my band in a live recording setting! The effects sound nothing short of stunning, and are all available while looping (ya just gotta know how and when). I used the distortions on some of our "live" stuff and they were nice...I have a HUGE collection of analog stomps, the M13 was just fine! I have a 2 pedal delay with 24 second looping, it couldn't come near the M13 in terms of sound quality and flexibility... I don't need features like "swoosh" in my delay, I need good clean sound, and the M13 delivers, the other one did not. (**20 by *oland) My favorite feature about the M13: It is so portable and flexible. I'm already addicted to it. I did by it at Guitar Center, and got an okay deal. I did look on some internet trading sites and NO ONE was selling them! (to me, that indicates that people keep 'em!) If you buy one...enjoy! ---J---

Comments about Line 6 M13 Stompbox Modeler Guitar Multi Effects Pedal:

This thing is sooo beautiful. It looks great and it's versatility is out of this world. You can do anything you want to with this thing. It may look confusing when you look at it, but I didn't even look at the manual and I figured it out in about 20 minutes.

GREAT Downsizer

By Joe Seph

from Parkville, MO

Comments about Line 6 M13 Stompbox Modeler Guitar Multi Effects Pedal:

I had pedals costing a total of 800 and was very limited in their effects, so I thought I'd try this and see if it was good enough to replace the current ones. It definitely is! I sold most of the other pedals and now I've made a profit! So far I'm very happy with the change.

The best

By Phil

from Atlanta, Georgia

Comments about Line 6 M13 Stompbox Modeler Guitar Multi Effects Pedal:

Everything you want, it's in here. Memory man deluxe? Nailed it! Tc electronic chorus? Got it! Rat pro co? Please! Sounds better than the original. Mxr phasers, Leslie speakers... You get the idea. But the best feature might be the compressors! I've never used a compressor before this, holy cow! It brings my musicman to life! You can't go wrong. Do it!

The Holy Grail of guitar processors

By Dave Sampson

from San Diego, CA

Comments about Line 6 M13 Stompbox Modeler Guitar Multi Effects Pedal:

A perfect idea, flawlessly executed! This is the first multi effect I have ever played through in my 22yrs of playing guitar that I actually liked the distortion/overdrive/fuzz effects and they are awesome in this, the models are spot on, if you chose a model of a noisy vintage fuzz thats what it sounds like noise and all, thats how exact they are. Now I now some people won't like or appretiate the noise but if thats you there is a noise gate in there that will clean it right up. All the other effects are handled with the same precision and this is the easiest processor to use the manual is only 12 pages long with big pictures and minimal writing its that easy, and has features I haven't found anywhere else like the ability to run your distortions, filters, and compressors through the front of the AMP and your mods, delays, reverbs through the effects loop. they really thought of everything.

Line 6 M13: Superior Quality Product

By Misael Santos

from Irving, TX

Comments about Line 6 M13 Stompbox Modeler Guitar Multi Effects Pedal:

Once the Line 6 M13 Stompbox Modeler came out, I knew it would only be a matter of time before I purchased one because I'm familiar with the individual modeling pedals it is created from. After 24 hours, 10 of those spent actually playing with this addictive pedal, I have found the following to be true. The sounds I got from this are the most lush and pristine I have ever heard. Ran into the stereo effects loop of a Crate 2x12 combo amp, with a separate 2x12 extension cabinet split and ran in stereo, the modulation, delay, reverb and filter effects seemed to jump out of the amp and make beautiful textures the like I have never heard from my amp's built-in effects. Also, the looper pedal is extremely easy to use and very flexible; within minutes of setting up the M13, I mastered recording, overdubbing, playing backwards, and reducing the speed of my loop. The applications this pedal serves are limitless, and it will be perfectly at home in any serious musician's rig. From the ease of use, quality of the sounds, and the extreme flexibility of this unit, the hardest thing you'll have to do is figure out who you want to give your old stompboxes to.
