The Line 6 LowDown LD15 is a bass combo amp that pushes 15 watts through a punchy 8" speaker. The Line 6 LD15 bass amp boasts 4 channels of sought-after LowDown bass tones, 3 brilliant Smart Control FX, and the ability to dial in great sound instantly.
The LowDown LD15 bass combo delivers a wide range of essential sounds for every bass player: Clean provides a pristine fusion- and funk-bass tone perfect for slap; R&B is a tribute to those fat Motown bass tones; Rock captures the seminal tones of classic 8x10 stadium rock amplifiers; and Grind, as the name suggests, supplies plenty of punchy aggression and distortion for that modern rock bass tone. Each amp model's parameters are fully adjustable and can be stored for instant recall at the touch of a button.
The front panel of the LowDown LD15 features 3 Smart Control FX, offering a variety of tonal options unprecedented in a 15-watt bass amplifier. The Filter delivers a funky wah sound inspired by the baddest envelope filter on the planet; Chorus is transparent, smooth, and expressive, but maintains the low-end of the signal; and Octaver, producing a single note one octave below the note played, adds a powerful vibe to any jam.
A dedicated studio-grade opto compressor model provides a smooth and consistent signal at any volume. This consistency is ideal for every bass player for leveling out the dynamics of your attack. An LED lights up to signify when the compressor hits -5dB of gain reduction.
The Line 6 LowDown LD15 offers pro-grade tone control reminiscent of higher-priced bass amplifiers. Broad-sweeping Bass, Lo-Mid, Hi-Mid, and Treble controls make finding the perfect sound a snap. Plus, with a dedicated Drive knob, a little extra character is just a twist away.
Ideal for jamming and practicing, the Line 6 LowDown LD15 bass combo features a CD/MP3 input for playing along to any music. Plus, the headphone output can also be used for easy direct recording of album-ready LowDown bass tones.
Rugged, reliable, and ready to deliver legendary Line 6 bass tone, the LowDown LD15 combo amp is here.

Ive used several line six products before and this one is just as good as the rest. The quality is great and the presets keep you busy when you're looking for a new kind of style. This is really for the experimental musician who's looking to expand their horizons. At any rate though, it's perfect for a practice amp or for gigs (for restaurants and other semi medium sized areas). This amp is even a great amp for first time players and any bassist in general and this amp will definitely keep u satisfied.

This amp BLOWS. The only time when its good is when you're alone in a room and are playing at volumes 3 and below. but when i want to hear myself play...anything above volume 3 (even if you dont have any drive on) sounds extremely distorted. And the sound of air pushing out of the amp overpowers the note your playing. And tell me this, if you are playing with your band, are you going to tell them to stop so you can change your effect? No, so the effects are pointless and theyre all horrible. Please no one buy this, get a fender rumble instead

Its a bit over-priced for a 15 watt amp. But if you set price aside, this is a much higher quality amp for its wattage class than most others. None of the settings are amazing, but its a modeling amp and not the real thing. It can give you some really good tones, and has a better low-end than any of the other amps in its range except for maybe the Acoustic B10 or B20. Overall, a good amp, but a bit overpriced.
I bought this amp in the Laguna Bass package. It is a good practice amp. It has a few different types of sounds you can do with the effects buttons. The MP3 (iPod) line in is a great feature. I usually just use the rock setting (it is actually deeper and lower for soul/motown than the R&B setting), but find it to be just what I need. I rarely ever turn it up more than a quarter to half of the way, it has good volume. However, I think the Ampeg's or Acoustics are better for the money. But since I got it in the bass package it is a great deal.
I got my LD15 with a Laguna and the two sound great together. The presets were what I was looking for at the time I got the amp/bass since I thought "bass + distortion = epicness!!" I thought wrong. Some songs it works, others it doesn't. But the distortion works great with a guitar as long as you're not sitting in front of the amp. The clean sound is great for fast heavy stuff with the bass. The distortion is good as long as the speed is down. The saved programs work for me and even after I turn my bass off I still have the mode I have on after it, it's just a matter of pressing the button again. It's a great start out amp, but one I wouldn't keep for too long if you're getting better and better and in a band going somewhere. I would have given it a 4.5 if they offered it, but it gets a 4 for now.
I Bought this amp cause i needed something with a bit more punch in the studio. i actually ended up plugging my les-paul into it! and it sounds just as good, Plenty of options for what i play, so much that it has become somewhat a personal touch of mine! however, the product description states that the amp settings are saved. for some reason, when ever i turn it on, the "wah" is turned on, and all my other settings are Ignored, i then have to turn it off, turn all the switches back to zero and dial it back in. another problem i have is the fluffy coating, i have a jack russell and even though she doesn't get anywhere near my gear, it still attracts A LOT of dog hair, and i constantly have to vacuum it to keep it clean!
This amp is a great amp if your just starting on ur guitar, all of the features will keep you intrested. i have this amp for 2 mouths no problems with it it was even a floor model and it works great all the knobs on the amp can be turned so they will all change the sound of ur bese so you can sould like black sabbaths bass player or any other band so if ur playing thier music that really helps. I would highley reccomend this amp its great at a low affordable price
I boutght this bass at a very good price at my local guitar center. I hav been very impressed with this except for one thing. It sometimes has problems turning on, when it does turn on though it creates some of the best sound quality you can get without paying a fortune. I would highly reccomend this amplifier for any new, intermediate or even advanced bass musician. I have had nothin but great results with Line 6. Especially when buying it from Guitar center
ok this product is made by line 6 for bass guitar, line6 is world renowned for making quality and convenient effects and guitar amps. quality:i think its pretty good . its nice and solid sounds good. my only complaint is the cover over the speaker is a metal grill which they put a sticker on which upon removal leaves sticky stuff on the front. also the outer shell has some kind of furrish material so if you have animals make sure to clean otherwise youll have a amp covered in fur. sound: sound is nice, the 4 channels work really well with changing your style from country to death metal you name it and done. effects: ok the effects are alright.the compressor is great and can dial in the right amount with ease, the envolope is kinda, well, not all great its fun to mess around with but they could have chosen a better one, octaver is good tracks pretty well on all strings but sounds really muddy on the E string, chorus i have no complaints with nice and pretty. overall:good buy great for finding ur sound.
I purchased this Line 6 Bass Amp from Guitar Center in Lexington, KY to go along with a recent purchse of of a Fender P base for my son. We opted for the 15W amp due to the small size of our basement. Since purchasing the amp, though, we've had four full four piece bands come over and jam with us, and despite their amps cranking higher, I gotta tell you, the Line 6 by far outshines the other members amps of choice. We'll be buy one or two other Line 6 amps to go with our lead and rythmn guitars as well. For the money, you can't go wrong. Seek out their sales clerk who has the interest in the Nikki Sixx-style bass. He'll treat you fair.
I got this amp for Christmas and it's great for beginners. Output can be fuzzy sometimes but when the settings are set just right the Grind channel you get a really nice metal sound. I recommend it for any bass player just starting out.
