Still in the "honeymoon phase" but so far loving this thing. Haven't noticed any of the issues other reviews mentioned (delayed switching, weird noises, etc) but I got mine after they released the latest firmware update that was supposed to fix that. Mine had the initial release on it, so I updated it right away and did a factory reset and pedal recalibration before I tried to use it. So far so good! I had a bit of trouble with the initial bluetooth pairing and connecting to the app on my iPhone, but finally got it sorted out with a bit of fiddling and it's been rock solid every since. Seems once you get it connected it works well.

I LOVE the ability to use my phone to wirelessly edit patches. I'm coming from a Flextone 3 XL using Line 6 Edit on a Mac plugged into a MIDII interface, and there is simply too much setup involved with that. Also had a Fender Mustang along with the FUSE software, and again, I hated having to drag out my computer when editing patches. Fiddling with the knobs on either amp was a pain as well. Now all I do is grab my phone, which is always next to me, open up the app, and tweak away. I'm still learning, and want to easily mimic songs that I'm learning without too much fiddling. Being able to search for a song, instantly load it, tweak it a bit for my setup, and get to playing within a few minutes is AWESOME! Sure it's not as tweak able as a HD500/X, but to be honest, I never used all of those settings to begin with and there is still MORE than enough tweak ability with this thing. Way more settings than I care to adjust.

Sound quality is great, and thus far has been the best headphone out I've used for practicing guitar (although still not great). Sounds every bit as good and BETTER than either my Flextone 3 or Mustang patches, with even more amps and effects to choose from.

I am more than happy with this thing! It is so much easier to use, get good tones, and still have plenty of tweak ability. Now I'm an average user, not a hardcore power user, and don't gig at all, unless you count a drunken Star Spangled Banner on the 4th of July at a buddy's house a gig lol. BUT if I did want to tweak my settings when drunkenly performing at my buddy's house, all I have to do is bust out my phone which I already have on me and tweak away, no need to bring a laptop.

If you're a hardcore user that likes to build custom tones from the ground up with infinite tweak ability then I'd say go for the HD500/X, but if you're an average user like me who just wants to get a good (but still tweak able) tone to play your favorite songs easily, get it! Sounds great, and love it!

Comments about Line 6 Firehawk FX Guitar Multi-Effects:

The Firehawk FX is a great multi-effects tool. If you're looking for great flexibility in sound without bankrupting yourself by buying individual pedals, this is your piece. This is a great upgrade from the previous POD HD series Line 6 released. Clarity is greatly improved, the effect modeling is impressive and the bluetooth connectivity is a nice perk.

Comments about Line 6 Firehawk FX Guitar Multi-Effects:

I don't use this work very often but i honestly LOVE my fire hawk. It sounds much better than my line 6 amplifi amp. The fire hawk sounds are far more rich and if you are thinking of this fx anything in the amplifi line... spend the extra $$ and get Firehawk..

Also, if you are somewhat tech savvy, you will love it as well. The iPhone app is very cool and makes it easy to find nice sounds. No more need for endless pedals on a pedalboard! Recording is easy on my mac (I'm using it with garageband).. overall, i would recommend it to anyone..

Comments about Line 6 Firehawk FX Guitar Multi-Effects:

This unit is great and easy to use with my Android device. All of the HD effects and amp models sound amazing and realistic. The NON-HD effects and amp models sound really good just not as realistic. You can easily find a great tone rather quickly. It also works well for recording into any DAW with zero latency (depending on the computer). The only problem I had was Guitar Center gave me an opened product even though I ordered it online and selected new. So be careful when ordering from Guitar Center online. That is something I'll never do again.

Comments about Line 6 Firehawk FX Guitar Multi-Effects:

Not wanting to spend the time and money looking for traditional stomp box pedals, I searched for a "all in one" guitar pedal board. I narrowed my choices down to this and the HD500X. The reason I chose the fire hawk was because it is very simple and easy to use. Plug it in, update it if necessary, connect to your phone or tablet, and you have instant access and control to thousands of sounds that you can tweak to your liking. You also have access to tons of actual stomp boxes, reverbs, delays, and mods that you can put on each setting. Definitely an excellent product that is built to last.

Editing From My Phone - Yes!

Comments about Line 6 Firehawk FX Guitar Multi-Effects:

Firehawk FX. This is my first multi effects board so I only give it 4 stars due to my lack of being able to compare it to anything else. That being said I love it. Low ground floor noise and absolutely killer tones to my ear. I play it through the clean channel of a Fender HRD 212. It has sparked my creativity and is a great intermediate tool to explore and dial in a tone to be your signature. Love the blutooth versatility, quality build as well. Cons? Maybe the slight latency between patch switching or that there were more tones on cloud or I would love to have more bass tones (I play guitar and bass so maybe that's just me) Read a lot of reviews and you will see that's the only bad things most reviews will say. Will Line6 keep this platform who knows. I am pleased with my purchase.
