Overview

Line 6's FBV Express MKII Guitar Footswitch offers all the classic advantages you expect from a Line 6 foot controller, including rock-solid channel switches, a rugged wah/volume pedal and a chromatic tuner display but it's also full of surprises. The steel footswitches are built for constant stomping. They make it easy to store and select four channel presets, to synchronize time-based effects with Tap Tempo, and to activate the chromatic tuner. This footcontoller is very decent. The channel switching is very easy and works well. The tuner is great for on stage tuning. The included cable is very long and if you want there is an extension cable you can buy. It is stong metal except the bottom which is plastic but that is fine. The volume pedal i like and the wah is fun and great too. Alot of reviews said that the wah was weak but this is my first one so... I use it with a line 6 spider IV amp and it is satisfactory. I like how you canconnect it to your computational machine as well. I plan on getting a line 6 lowdown ld300 too that works with this pedal because bass is my first love.

I do not own a line 6 amp and use this product strictly as a midi controller. I play keyboards and use a laptop, 2 midi boards, and this foot controller. I like it because it is small, light, and has all the functions I need. I dislike that it is make of plastic and can be easily broken. Setup was really easy, the line 6 software makes it easy to change a cc# switch buttons from toggle to momentary, adjust max/min values, etc... It has always worked reliably for me... when it is not broken. Was recently backstage getting ready for a show, went to plug it in and it did not turn on. Discovered the plastic piece in the middle of the usb jack had broken off. I had to quickly change up several patches and limped through the show without it. Since I cannot find a more durable midi controller with the same features and size I bought a new one and this time went for the 2 year protection coverage so that when it breaks again (which I am certain it will), I can take it to GC and get a new one. I also hard wired a usb cord to the broken jack on the old one so that next time I discover it is broken right before a show I will have a backup with me ready to go.

Very good footswitch

By Colin Newkirk

from topeka,kansas

Comments about Line 6 FBV Express MKII Guitar Footswitch:

There is virtually nothing wrong with this footswitch.I use it with my spider III 75 and it is very easy to use, you just plug it in and it's ready to go. The cable is VERY long, but if you wrap it up it will be just fine. This footswitch is really strong and if you threw it on concrete as hard as you could I bet it would work just fine. The wah pedal is decent, if your interest in this footswitch is the wah pedal, you are better of buying a cry baby. Overall I would say that this is a very good investment for someone looking for an affordable footswitch with some wah.

Not What I Expected, But Still Love It

By Chris Corso

from Lexington, KY

Comments about Line 6 FBV Express MKII Guitar Footswitch:

To start, this is not 100% compatable with the Spider IV 15 as I was told. You can not use any of the downloadable features other than fixes. With that, when using with the Spider IV 15, it is great as a hands free pedal system and still allows you to have a lot of dependable fun by being able to adjust your tone per the four presets and lock it in. The built in volume/Wah pedal is great. For the money, it is a good buy even if I can't use the Line 6 FBV control function via computer link.

Its an O.K. pedal

By Brandon

from Scottsdale, Arizona

Comments about Line 6 FBV Express MKII Guitar Footswitch:

The only complaint I have is that when I use it, the pedal itself clicks and sqeaks. When I use the bottons to ajust stuff, it works, but because of a glitch in my amp, it makes the volume on the amp go all the way up, so I dont use them anymore. But the sound is great. I dont recomend this for practice, due to the loud clicks and squeaks. I like the price

Good controller for the price!

By Eric

from Aurora, Ohio

Comments about Line 6 FBV Express MKII Guitar Footswitch:

I have had this controller for 2 days now and it works perfectly. Lightning quick switching from preset to preset. Goes into tuning mode, when stepping on a lit switch, with ease. The cord that connects to the amp, is quite long and should give a good distance, from where you have your amp set. The only bad thing I have to say is that, to switch from wah to volume (and back) you REALLY have to step toes forward with some force, to get it to change (there's a little button, under the front of the pedal, on the board itself, that clicks when you want to switch) If you want to connect to Line 6's Monkey feature, via your computer, you will need to purchase your own Ethernet cable. Otherwise, I highly recommend this controller. Great value!

Great pedal for the price

By Aaron

from Tacoma, WA

Comments about Line 6 FBV Express MKII Guitar Footswitch:

I was looking for a footswitch to go along with my Line 6 Spider IV 120 amp. This thing rocks. Wah is decent. Im not too big into wah so this works great for me. Volume control is great. Pedal feels nice and sturdy. This thing looks like it can take a beating and still work great. The 4-switch controls are great. Awesome pedal for an amazing price! Cant be beat.

Bought it for Guitar Rig!!

By Alejandro Garza Paredes

from Ciudad Victoria, Tamaulipas, Mexico

Comments about Line 6 FBV Express MKII Guitar Footswitch:

I don̴t have any other Line 6 product to control with this, I̴m a computer musician and I had bought this footswitch for its USB MIDI controller. It works awesome to control Guitar Rig 4 Pro. You just need to download its driver that comes with its configuration software, connect it, choose which midi CC are you gonna use with each switch and its parameters, saves that information on the fly on the hardware, close it and run your favorite software to control. Yes, It have a lot of plastics, but it seems resistant to me, it is OK for the price. The expression pedal is of good metal and rubber and it has good feeling and no weird noises that others commented. Here are my complaints of why not give it 5 stars: - Light: if you don't have a good grip surface it my slip when pushing to hard the expression or some switch. - The expression switch to activate wah is hard (I wish some adjustment feature), you need to be stand up to push it properly with a little effort, but forget it if you're sitting.

Very nice pedal! I see nothing wrong with the design. It feels great, easy to pack around, and easy to set up and plug and play. What else could you ask for? I use it with the spider lV and it really brings the amp to life. It shines the most when you use the line 6 spider editor software, the best editing software for effects I have ever used. So much easier than the digitech effect editor software. Line 6 makes it so easy to set it all up any not so computer savy person can get it up and going.
