I have the line 6 412. I used to own the Line 6 spider II but then i needed something with some more power. i Picked this up becuase i like the spider II. I run this trhough the Spider II head. I just had to get that as well. Line 6 is one of the best producers for amps and effects. Great for rock and metal. i could get clean blues tones and it amazes me everytime.
This cab is well worth the money. I use a genz benz el diablo head with it, sounds great....
This cab is kick ass if you use it with the vetta II head and FBV pedal. All the effects you could ever possibly want.
allows the effects to flow clearly at high volumes
After deciding it was time for a new guitar cab, I did some research on cabs in my price range, seeing if there were any worthy of my purchase. This cab, though not perfect, was well worth the money. It has a beautiful crunch to it, making palm-mutes very satisfying. The only thing I wish it could handle a little better is the low end, however, I'm finding that the more I use the cab and, "break it in," the better it handles the lows. I also checked out the Marshall 1960 cabs, which were a bit pricier. They're honestly about equal for what I wanted, so I simply went with the nicer looking and cheaper pick. Be prepared for heavy lifting, though, as this thing weighs quite a bit. It has casters, but if you have to carry it up stairs and such...make sure you stretch first.
This is the only cab I have ever owned, but it is a phenomenal companion to my line 6 HD 147 head. I have the slant version for now and plan to get more in the future. This thing just really rocks. It has HUGE bottom end and I can just get it to sound mean with my head. Perfect match for a HD or Vetta.
Wanted sound uncolored by speakers...have DSP head to define amp tone, and good cabinet build (no plasticky amp corners or particle board) Removable casters are nice, but watch your fingers (drew blood on sales associate). Has 2/8ohm mono switching, but would rather have 4/16 (I don't use a single cab in "stereo" so the stereo impedance options don't help).
This is the first cab i've ever bought. i have a peavey triple xxx head driving it and let me tell you this cab is loud. The cab has great response on all 3 channels of my head. The clean is crisp and clear, and the 2 distortion channels are very crunchy and tight. I tried a few different cabs when i was purchasing my new amp, peavey xxl cab, line 6 spider, and a genz benz and this was by far better sounding than all of them. I'd recommend this cab to anyone.
I love this amp. The bass is nice and tight, and the highs are crisp and clear. I use this cab with a Marshall JCM 800 original all tube head, and it wails! I was in the market for a Marshall cab, but the Celestions in this cab far surpass the celestions in the Marshall 1960 A/B (the Marshall cab in the same price range w/ the same power handling.) This cabinet definitely sound better if you get the straight config instead of the angle, but a perfect 10!
Great cab, and good price. the only thing i would want more would be a mesa!
