Love this guitar!

I bought my Line 6 Variax Acoustic 700 after trying it in a GC Showroom. I use a Bose L1 and that's what it was being run through so I knew just how it would sound when I took it home. Besides having great, and fast, action a favorite feature is the ability to capo down. I have a limited vocal range and this has made it easy to cover a few favorites that were a tad too high for me while still using the same chording, one of which was 'Blackbird.'. Tied in with a loop station it is great to be able to instantly switch from a 12 string to a six string to cover a song like 'Wish You Were Here.' Then you can quickly switch to sitar to cover 'Paint It Black.' The sounds have all been wonderful and the instant alternate tunings have inspired me with songwriting as well. I would have given up a guitar model (not sure which one) or the Shamisen for the addition of something like a ukulele or a madolin rather than the Mandola but that's my personal taste. Overall this is one awesome instrument.

Line 6 Variax Acoustic 700

I am fairly new to the music industry and bought my Line 6 Variax Acoustic 700 while on vacation. My primary is an Ibanez acoustic but can't seem to put down the Variax. I wanted to have an axe that offered versatility but was sophisticated enough to grow into. After trying it in a Guitar Center showroom, I was convinced. It was being run through a Bose I system but I run it through a Line 6 Spider amp without much sound differentiation. I like the ease of alternate tunings and the ability to switch guitars for diffent songs. The overall value of so many sounds with such great reproduction at such a low cost is truly the strength of the Variax 700.

Kind of like having 30 guitars in one!

I got the black finish, and this guitar looks quite traditional yet futuristic and powerful.. and so is the sound it produces! The brilliance involved with creating this guitar, I cannot fathom. I love how you can just switch to different tones without taking over two seconds. Thin and very good for sitting down at campfire settings too :) I'm a very happy camper.

gods guitar

This guitar is an ingenious instrument that allows you to play a large amount of different instruments. When I heard about this guitar I was looking to purchase a sitar but, when I was shown this guitar by a employ at GC I scarped up some money and brought this bountiful guitar home before someone else could. Get it you won?t be disappointed!
