Authentic Variax modeling and smooth vintage looks.

The one-piece North American maple neck and fingerboard is a first for the Variax. 9-1/2" fretboard radius allows comfortable chording and buzz-free bends. Custom L.R. Baggs tremolo bridge allows both up and down movement for more expressive trem action. Vintage touches like amber gloss and skunk stripe on the neck and the off-white pickguard give it classic looks that match all the famous Variax models within.

Great great versatile guitar

I got the Line 6 Variax when it first came out and it really is a great guitar. All of the models sound amazing and even the acoustic models give a very realistic sound. This is the only guitar I use for playing live or recording because it pretty much does everything. If you have the cash, go for it you will not find a better value.

My Variax Experience

I read alot about these guitars before I bought one and have been using a 600 for about 6 months now. I have been very happy with it, the quality has been great and the sounds, the choices and potentials just cannot be beat. There have been a few odd things here or there that keep me from giving this guitar a 5 star rating, once a string seemed to disapear... I had to switch the pickup selector and then it came back into the mix. In all fairness it was a pretty dead set of strings by that point. As for sound quality I am happy with all but the 12 strings, most of the time they sound just fine, but on a few rare occasions they get an odd buzz and again I have to switch the pickup selector (almost like a reboot). These things have happened so infrequently though that I never think about them, I play this guitar a lot, pretty much everyday, it's been in a 105 degree car all day and came out fine, it's been dropped once (damned friends) and plays and sounds like a champ. I love this guitar.

Variax 600

This is an awesome guitar, but not if you are a purest. If you're looking for something with a sound close to original without having to buy 20+ top guitars, this one is for you. Great sounds! Awesome flexibility when used with the Pot XT Live and the Variax workbench.
