A groundbreaking collaboration between Line 6 and Reinhold Bogner, the principal designer at Bogner Amplification.

The Line 6 Spider Valve HD100 MkII 100W Guitar Amp Head is the result of a groundbreaking collaborative effort between living-legend amp designer Reinhold Bogner and renowned amp-modeling upstarts Line 6. The 100-watt guitar amp head offers the best of both worlds: brawny, boutique-style tube tone and the latest, most advanced Line 6 amp modeling with complete flexibility and deep editing.

Acclaimed amp tones
Spider Valve MkII HD100 amp head has the tools and tones you need to build your sound from the ground up. It features 16 of the most advanced Line 6 amp models, which were inspired by the most revered American, British and European heads and combos. Each one was custom-tuned for Spider Valve MkII amps.

Get in front of sparkling clean tones inspired by a Hiwatt Custom 100, syrupy smooth drive tones inspired by a mix of a '65 Marshall JTM-45, a '58 Fender Bassman and a '63 Fender Vibroverb, British pop/rock tones inspired by a Vox AC-30 Top Boost, high-gain onslaughts inspired by a Mesa/Boogie Dual Rectifier and a Diezel Herbert, Class A crunch inspired by a Divided by 13 9/15, classic Class A breakup inspired by an Orange AD-30, and more! Store tones from every gig with the Line 6 amp head's 128 user-programmable presets.

Need to shape your tone? Tweak the Bass, Mid and Treble knobs just like you would on the original vintage amps. When you choose an amp model, the EQ section behaves just like the EQ section of the modeled amplifier. Spider Valve MkII HD100 gives you a complete, organic and fully authentic representation of its 16 vintage and modern amplifiers.

An instant collection of essential FX
Start smart and dive deep with the unprecedented control of Line 6 Smart FX. 20 brilliant effects deliver unprecedented color, adjustability and routing options. You can tweak up to 6 parameters of any effect—including the intelligent Smart Harmony and Pitch Glide, and easy-to-use 14-second Quick Loop—and route it pre or post for an extraordinary collection of tone-shaping tools. Plus, you get every guitarist's required palette of colors including beautiful Delays, tangy Mods, lush Reverbs and more. Up to 4 effects can be used simultaneously.

Fully editable, deeply sophisticated
Line 6 Spider Valve MkII HD100 amp head is poised to become the workhorse amp for all kinds of pro players. Its seamless integration into MIDI rigs allows for quick changes to all front-panel controls, easy synching of your time-based effects (to themselves and to your drummer's click-track) as well as other time- and energy-saving features.

Plus, two output modes deliver easy and effective solutions for direct-recording and gigging. Performance Mode lets you send a signal, which provides tube and modeling interaction, via the XLR out to the front-of-house engineer. Studio Mode bypasses the tubes to send the platinum-album Line 6 modeling only.

Brawny tube tone
Many so-called tube amps employ low-voltage "marketing" tubes to add authenticity to their "tube amp" claim. Line 6 Spider Valve MkII HD100 boasts bona fide Bogner-designed 12AX7 preamp and 6L6 power amp sections that run at lethal voltages (about 300 volts and 450 volts, respectively) to produce exceptional depth, tonal coloration and richness.

Handsfree control and more
The optional Line 6 FBV foot controllers deliver out-of-the-box volume/wah, pitch control, preset control and more. FBV Shortboard MkII pairs perfectly with Spider Valve MkII HD100 amp head to offer complete, handsfree control of the on-board Spider Valve MkII effects including Quick Loop, Smart Harmony and more. The bright and backlit oversized LCD makes it easy to see preset names and the chromatic tuner.

With our Guaranteed Lowest Price, you can be assured of complete satisfaction and the lowest available price, or your money back!

This amp exemplifies what I've been waiting for from Line; the versatility of Line 6 functionality and effects with the authentic tone of a boutique style tube amp. For Line 6 patrons or skeptics alike, the Spider Valve Mk II eliminates any trace of the cold, digital tone you?ve heard in the past. The ability to play through a tube amp while maintaining access to world class effects and the option to save the tones you craft is a dream for guitar players. The Spider Valve Mk II is the perfect marriage of the convenience I need as a guitarist. If you're a Vetta owner, you'll appreciate the more straight-forward interface offered by the Spider Valve Mk II. Dialing in great tones with the Spider Valve Mk II is not nearly the production it was with Vetta. I dialed in a thick, creamy distortion tone on the Spider Valve Mk II in about 10 - 15 minutes. Not to say that I won't tweak it more, but you get something great to work with right away. The introduction of "SmartFX" on the Spider Valve Mk II improves upon a critically acclaimed Line 6 effects collection and makes it even easier to add and customize them into your tone. Another fantastic addition to the Spider Valve Mk II is the 14 second sound-on-sound looper. The looper is accessible right from the Line 6 FBV Mk II short board, which is very convenient; you get a great looper while minimizing stage clutter. Lastly, I have to give props to Line 6 for making this product available at a price I honestly don't understand. They could charge double what they're asking for this amp and it would still be reasonable. I also respect Line 6 for not attempting to create this amp by themselves. Teaming up with a legend in the tube amp community line Bogner was a great call; it produced a truly excellent, well rounded product for guitarists that combine the individual experience and mastery of the two parties. Worth every buck you're going to spend in this perfect amp. I think this head amp was my best investment in this year. and GuitarCenter the best place to purchase. just get it...

I have been a true believer in line 6 since the original pod. I have also got the pod 2 the pocket pod the xt live, and now the hd100 mk2. this amp sounds so good. close your eyes and you will swear you are playing a fender twin. A kick to the foot pedal, and you have gain for days. I play a classical guitar with a fishman pre and with the l6 clean and reverb and a little delay, and it sounds as if you are playing live at a huge hall. I plug in my epi acoustic steel string, and now i can play country or rockabilly, or the sweetest sounding blues, a little grit and no feedback!!!! The punch is when I plug in my epi les paul with emgs tuned down to c. I use the blue insane, and delay and reverb. Oh my god captain crunchy, switch to the neck pup sweet velvety lead tones, back off on the volume and get that awesome yngwie sound. I will never be able to play anything else but Line 6. Just got this amp last week and I'm nothing short of impressed. For the price, there's nothing that compares with the versatility involved with this amp, all of the effects included add a lot of value. The tubes add excellent tone as well. I was skeptical at first because line six usually has chinky tone but the tubes basically eliminate that factor, they give it a more "vintage" sound. This amp is also incredibly LOUD. Be careful when you crank it, I found out the hard way. Great amp overall.
