Amp modeling and digital effects in a classic tube amp.

The Spider Valve amp head delivers 12 channels of amp modeling - combined with several flavors of built-in modulation, delay and reverb driven by an all tube, all Bogner amplification design boasting 6L6 power tubes and 12AX7 preamp tubes.

Spider Valve™ is the result of a groundbreaking collaboration between Line 6 and Reinhold Bogner fusing the versatility of modeling with the performance and feel of a world-class tube amplifier.

Just as Line 6 revolutionized the world of amps through pioneering modeling technology, Spider Valve shatters the boundaries of tube amp performance by applying that same tonal range to Bogner's all-tube amp design, boutique component selection and stellar voicing.

Combining the performance, response and feel of a well crafted tube amp with the inspiring capabilities of amp and effect modeling - the Spider Valve amplifier delivers the best of both worlds.

Modeling + Tubes
The Spider Valve design combines 12AX7 preamp tubes with Line 6's signature modeling front-end, a marriage that allows each part of the sonic equation to deliver what it does best: creamy, cascading distortion and enriched harmonics from the tubes, and 12 of the world's finest amp models and seven stunning effects from the modeling front end. And, of course, perfectly matched 6L6 power tubes driving Celestion® Vintage 30 speakers to deliver unprecedented sonic impact and spatial imaging.

With the simple front-end controls and display, programmable patches and presets are instantly within reach. Tweak your tone even further with the front panel Presence, Drive, Bass, Mid and Treble controls: this is a true-blue tube amp, and it acts like one, responding and delivering all the analog detail, performance and warmth of every amp model and effect.

Unleash your effects arsenal.
From the DL4™ stompbox to the Echo Farm™ plug-in, Line 6 effects have achieved cult status in top studios and stage rigs of discerning guitarists. With Spider Valve, Line 6 delivers a palette of top grade integrated effects - easily accessed and tweaked from the front panel using the SmartControl FX knobs.

Modulation
A choice of phaser, chorus or tremolo lets you tweak your tone from rich luscious modulations to dramatic orbital gyrations.

Delay
From the swirling feedback of the sweep echo to the organic decay of the tape echo, Spider Valve delays provide an unmatched level of dimension and depth.

Reverb
The Spider Valve effects arsenal is complete with a dedicated reverb control allowing you to dial in anything from subtle ambiences to cavernous spaces.

The Bogner Story
Reinhold Bogner, the principal designer at Bogner Amplification, had been designing and building amplifiers long before leaving Germany in 1989. Moving to Los Angeles he quickly gained the trust of many influential players including Steve Stevens, Dan Huff, Allan Holdsworth, Mike Landau and Steve Vai who sought out his skill at modifying and custom building their amps.

But it was overhauling and revitalizing Eddie Van Halen's legendary 1968 Marshall® Plexi in 1992 that propelled Bogner to legendary status and inspired him to launch his own high-end amp company, Bogner Amplification. Acclaimed for their rich, robust tones, channel-switching sophistication and sonic versatility - Bogner amps have earned a maniacally devoted following among discerning guitarists such as Jerry Cantrell, Lyle Workman, Wes Borland, Chris DeGarmo, Keith Urban, Richie Sambora and many others.

Using only premium components - in tandem with a level of craftsmanship that can only be referred to as "artistry"- Bogner amplifiers more than deserve their exalted reputation. Ever the restless creator, Bogner brought those same priorities, standards and sensibilities to bear on the Spider Valve design. Each Spider Valve amp-the 112, 212 and HD100- combines the talent and experience of Bogner, arguably the tube world's leading light, with the know-how and technological savvy of the world's leader in modeling, Line 6.

Melt Your Face Off

I have owned my share of Line 6 amps in the past, and have most recently been playing through my 150W Spider 2 stack. I was liking the tone I could get out of my amp, but did not have enough power to be heard over the rest of my band without the aid of a PA system. I was preparing to move towards a Mesa or a Marshall, but I was hesitant since Line 6 has been my sound for so many years. Then all of a sudden, BAM! I was stoked when I heard Line 6 and Bogner were getting together to make a fully tubed amp with Line 6 modeling technology. All I can say is, if you want a loud amp, this is it. The artists presets are not that great except for a few. But once you dial in your tone and crank up the volume, it handles itself very very well. So plug in, go to 11, and shred away! Cheers

This amp head is the best!

I have been playing for 20 years and I have bought so much equipment over the years. This is the best amp head that I have ever owned, the clarity of this amp is incredible even with the wonderful sounding distortion. Each and every string is heard with clarity and power, the tubes in this amp give it such a warm sound and the effects are excellent. I am going to buy another one soon because I am building two stacks, this amp kicks ass! This is the best amp head for the money, Line 6 did a great job, in the past Line 6 sucked but now they rip.

OMG!!!

To have Line 6 and their amp modeling and a 100w Bogner tube amp in the same head?! Forget about it! This amp rocks!! Right out of the box, in my living room....I had the volume at the 9 o'clock position and the floors were shaking!! I can't wait till band practice and unleash this monster in the confines of a practice studio!!

Line 6 / Bogner = Destroy

I say, For all you metal heads out there, This amp will kick you in the butt and then some. You got a ton of tones to work with, And if your like me and use insane low tunings and you have a hard time with clarity in notes, You will love this amp. I Have 2 Mesa Dual Rec Heads and i love them to death, but you are limited on tones and my tunings can get lost on my Mesa heads. I would never replace my Mesa's for this head, but they are fun to play with and use live when i get bored. (Note: You will need to read the pilots manual to activate hidden functions)I use The FBV Shortboard and i am able to use all functions. This amp is well worth the money.

Line 6 Bogner

I really researched my latest purchase and I found this to be the best amp for the price listed. The true test was in my practice pad with my band. I barely had to turn this amp to a 3 setting and it was more then loud enough but the best part was that it had such clarity. The different artist setting were great to tinker around with and make my own. Using the FBV pedal board along with the Line 6 Bogner is ideal since switching is seemless and the volume/wah expression pedal is a really nice addition. I have the original Line 6 AX212 and have been happy with that for years but now it just collects dust. If you're on the fence about what to purchase, get off and grab this amp. Warm tube tone with onboard effects.....you can't go wrong. I'm not easy to please but I am totally satisfied with this amp. 5 stars and then some.
