An old veteran is very impressed
40 years of been there, done that has taught me alot...mainly that you have to keep an open mind, especially in music! I have played dang near every amp out over the last 50 years and have my favs, but this Line 6 Jam amp is not only alot of creative fun to work with, but the modeling is very, very impressive. I can hear alot of dead-on sounds with most of the amp models. Simple to use, motivates the creative juices, and sounds so flexible and easy to dial in. I wont be packing up my other amps, but this is my go-to for writing and recording. And I will gig with this! Backing tracks alone are worth this just for practice and writing.

Fricken Sweet
Well, I got this as a b-day gift... and man-o-man, it is just simply amazing. I upgraded from a 15 watt amp with a Hot Head pedal, and this is trully amazing, it has everything I will ever need. I sat down with it at 8pm and didn't get done with it until 2am... thank god I live in the middle of nowhere! Too bad I live in apartments back at school, this will be such a tease! I would really recommend this amp to anyone. The drum beat function is excellent for learning tempo, too. Line 6, I give you an A++

awesomenessnicitykabibble
this thing is great! its got all the settings you would ever need to shape your own tone. it has sooooo many settings to choose from. the only real thing that irks me is that the jam recordings arent very heavy. they arent good for any kind of metal solos. the same goes for the drum tracks. theyre good for blues and country and soft rock. the recording feature isnt bad except youll need one of those fbv pedals to make a half decent recording. well thats all i can think of to say for now.

This amp is sick!!
Line 6 has done it again. This amp has so many tone possibilities you could write a friggin' book on them. There are something like 400 tone presets and around 100+ backing tracks to jam to, even just drums if that's all you want, and the BEST part is the backing tracks/drums are not crappy MIDI tracks, but full-on CD Quality audio! The tracks sound awesome, and they're not just one looping measure but rather several parts broken down into an intro, chorus, and alternate riffs, ending, etc, and so they aren't a total bore to play with. You can also effortlessly record yourself playing either with the tracks or not, and overdub it for 24 min! You've got like 36 totally custom presets to mess with, and you can grab a default tone preset and modify it, then save it to one of your custom 36 without messing it up. It's badass. Did I mention this puppy is loud? Yeah, it's a 75W amp, but I've had a couple amps in that range in the past and they weren't as loud and clear as this baby is. Bottom line - if you're in the market for a new amp and looking for something to play along with that isn't a bore, you're going to get your money's worth with this - it's worth every penny!

A great little amp with a lot
I bought this about 5 months ago and love it. It has a good amount of power (plenty for the practice room/bedroom). I haven't used it on stage yet, but will in about 2 weeks, so I will know about how the power is for live playing. I love the Jam Tracks. There is a lot of variety of styles and with a little tinkering, you can change speeds and keys. I would like to have it change key with changing speed, but it makes you practice every key and tempo.
The only real negatives are the foot pedal board has to be purchased separately, there is not a line out to hook into a mixer, and there is no external speaker jack.
However, it is easy to learn how to run, the recorder is cool and the jam tracks are great. I come home and can play with a full band even when no one is around.
I like all the amp and guitar settings and you do have a lot of choices for custom settings.
I used it for my son's wedding reception to run my Ipod and a mic through. It had plenty of clean sound for a big room and was easy to carry and set up.
This is a neat little amp that is very versitile. I will use it a lot.

This isn't some kiddie toy!
25 years of bands, recordings, and touring with just about every conceivable amp ever made. But I needed to have a variety available to me without having a room full of expensive amps, so I needed to scale down to a modeling amp to simplify things. Before the purchase though, I reviewed, played, poked, and prodded every available one. I thought Line 6 was just for heavy metal types, so I discounted it for quite a while. Well, I was very wrong! Not only is the various models on this amp fantastic and very real to the originals, but the "Jam" features have really brought out more creativity in my writing and practice and have even pushed me to learn styles I've never considered playing before! This amp is a must for any Serious Guitarist! Period!

IMPRESSED WITH SPIDER JAM
I have had the Spider Jam for about 2 weeks and for the most part am very satisfied. I jammed for hours with it right out of the box. The jam tracks and drum tracks are real recordings that you can really play along with. I wish it had a button for "fill-in" beats and endings. Being able to record and overdub is superb. The different guitar sounds are very good. The volume is excellent to "cut through" if playing in a live band. I would recommend spider jam for anyone of any level who wants to improve their guitar playing. My chops have improved dramatically in just 2 weeks of jamming with the jam track loops! My Spider Jam is worth every penny!

VERY NICE!!!!
I was very impressed with the recording quality of this amp. It blows away the Fender G-dec 30. very user friendly and you can dial up just about anything on this amp. If push came to shove I would gig this thing. A fantastic way to keep your chops up.

Amazing Amp
This amp is amazing. It has great sound and has so many different options on how you want the sound to come out. I use this amp with an epiphone custom silverburt and a jimi hendrix wah pedal and the sound is just amazing. I recommend this amp. Worth the money.

Good for practice
This is a very good practice amp and features a very fun and nice on board effects processor. It's very fun to record to and features nice quality when you do.
The only problem with this amp is the inability when playing with very heavy distortion. The notes are not as distinct as a tube amp, and it will sound some what cluttered and muddy.
That being said, I always plan on keeping this amp for practice. I would recommend the purchase to anyone learning or experienced players looking for cheap fun at home.
