  • Big Bang Therory!

As reviewed by Peter Sheehan on 12/17/2010

I've had the Line 6 Spider IV HD150 150W and 4x12 Guitar Half Stack for about three weeks now & not only has this set-up impressed me, but also the other band members as well as the audience at the gig we just got through playing (around 750 people, outdoor venue)!! This machine delivered every sound plus. this line-6 half-stack has enough power to blast into space, & this guitarist loved the ride. The presets are great which makes it easy to meet any sound, plus the programmable channels lets me create our bands own unique sound, & it lets me even name the preset!!! The FVB Express petal works great with the different songs that we play. After the gig I thought about the agility of being able to have every tone to every song available in a split second! I highly recommend this half stack to any serous player!!!

  • Just what i EXPECTED...and then some!!!

As reviewed by Erwin Amezcua on 10/3/2011

Before this beast i used to own a 120w Spider III combo amp and ever since then i have been sold on Line 6 amps. Due to opinions from friends and other Spider users that the spider III is better than the Spider IV i have been hesitant on buying this stack. well let me crush those opinions by saying the line 6 spider IV delivers more options and more versatility than the spider III. The amp has so many options and FX that it makes most third party pedal obsolete other features are fun like the quick loop, pitch glide or smart harmony. The amp is CRAZY loud!! not even halfway and its way loud i suggest you work your preset's volume so you can actually have room with the master volume. So ive read all the reviews and some said that the distortion is not for heavy metal.... well for those people i suggest they download the Advanced Guide so they can learn a little more about what their stack can actually do. The distortion is more than enough if youre not satisfied move the drive to where its desired and the BASS, MID, and TREBLE knobs, if the distortion is too crunchy for your liking make sure to take off the noise gate in the settings and only leave Noise reduction this has worked for me...all in all this amp is hands down the best modeling amp a small budget can buy the only complaint that i have is that the cab has no wheels, as i gig around a lot and it can become a bit bothersome to carry the cab its only a little bit because the cab isnt heavy. this AMP is amazing i recommended it to anyone with a serious attitude for music and a serious desire to save money on pedals

  • Great amp

As reviewed by Frank on 5/31/2011

i havent played many stacks, half or full(im 13) but this definitely blew me away. im in a punk band and the drummer uses a 38 peice arena drumset, this easily overpowered that at about halfway. definitely enough effects to keep anybody happy.
