Smart FX

Smart FX knobs put award-winning Line 6 effects at your fingertips. Easy to use, Smart FX let you spend less time tweaking and more time playing. Quickly add or remove any amount of the 20 lush reverbs, exceptional echoes, tangy mods, and more. Make all your adjustments on the fly—all the knobs are on the front panel. Up to 4 Smart FX can be used simultaneously.

Go deeper into FX

This Line 6 amp lets you deep dive into your effects like never before! Every effect is fully adjustable up to 7 parameters deep, including pre- and post-amplifier routing. Sculpt your delays, mods, reverbs, pitch effects, and more with unparalleled control.

Spider FX Infusion

What's better than more effects? More effects for free! Spider FX Infusion (a free download from Line6.com) more than doubles your amount of Smart FX. Beef up your Line 6 Spider IV 75 with 28 additional overdrives, compressors, delays, reverbs, mods, and wahs. You'll have more effects than any other modeling amplifier.

Pitch effects (Smart Harmony and Pitch Glide)

Smart Harmony is Line 6's first intelligent pitch shifter. It's fast-tracking and easy to use. Harmonize using major, minor, pentatonic, whole tone, and other types of scales. (Don't worry, you don't need to know music theory to use Smart Harmony).

Pitch Glide is most effective when used with an optional FBV MkII foot controller. Use the foot pedal to smoothly shift your tone up or down to any interval within a four-octave range. The effect can be calibrated to semitones, or to 10-cent increments to create cool chorus/detuning effects.

Quick loop

Quick Loop is a 14-second sound-on-sound looper that's ideal for writing songs, practicing solos, jamming, and even dialing in your tone. Easy to use, Quick Loop's controls are all on the front panel. Connect an FBV MkII foot controller for handsfree control of the looper functions.

Simultaneous FX

Use up to 8 effects at the same time! Pour on the colors and textures with all 4 Smart FX, set the adjustable Boost and the Noise Gate, activate Quick Loop, and connect an FBV MkII foot controller to kick on the volume/wah pedal. How many other amplifiers can do that?

Speak up

Celestion guitar speakers are world renowned for their exceptional definition, clarity, and feel. And that's just what they give to Line 6 Spider IV 75. The 1x12" Celestion custom speaker helps clean tones sparkle and sing, creamy overdrives respond to the intricacies of your picking, and searing brutal tones launch themselves from the cabinet.

Manual mode

Manual mode draws a more traditional amplifier experience out of Line 6 Spider IV 75 guitar amp. When Manual mode is activated, all front-panel knobs work independently of one another. (Out of Manual mode, choosing an amp model may adjust the settings of the other front-panel knobs.)

Stay focused

To get the whole story of Spider IV 75 amplifier, you need to turn one around. It features a perfectly tuned three-quarter closed-back speaker cabinet. This provides a tight, punchy, focused response that you can't get from an open-back guitar speaker cab.

Tune up

You'll always sound your best with the Line 6 guitar amp's built-in tuner. No need for an external tuner or additional guitar cables, this invaluable tool is integrated into the amp's front panel. Activate the tuner with the push of a button.

Window to the soul

A large, two-line LCD is your window into Line 6 Spider IV 75. This is where you can deep dive into effects and adjust their parameters, scroll over 500 presets, see the tuner interface, name your user-created presets, get a visual representation of where your Smart FX knobs are set, and more.

Downloads and upgrades

Keep your Line 6 Spider IV 75 guitar amp up to date with an FBV MkII foot controller. Connect the Spider IV 75 to Line6.com via an FBV MkII foot controller to receiver valuable software and firmware updates and upgrades. These updates may include new features, presets, or effects for your Line 6 amp.

Foot controllers

FBV Express MkII delivers hands-free channel switching; FBV Shortboard MkII is a full-on remote control. They both feature a full-sized volume/wah pedal, chromatic tuner display, bright LEDs, durable footswitches and chassis, and more. They keep you at the foot of the stage instead of tied to the front of your Spider IV 75. They also feature USB connectivity for keeping your Spider IV 75 up to date. (Foot controllers not included.)

NEW REVIEW - Great for beginners

I have had this amp for a very long time, I have had a 75watt spider since spider 3 and they are very heavy guitar amps, during my first two years learning how to play I used this and it is a massive bang for the buck. It comes with tons of effects for any playing style, on a scale of 1-10 for how much distortion, this amp gets a solid 8, the distortion is mad at lower levels but when you start kranking this powerhouse amp up it gets really intence, sometimes so intence you can't even hear your mids or treble anymore, that is a big downside to this amp, the sound starts to get muddy at high levels, I wouldn't use it for gigging for this reason, the other con to this is the sound can sound sort of digital like it isn't natural distortion, to bassy at times, I was never able to get the tone I have been craving for, mad house rocking distortion with clarity, the speaker just cuts out the mids and makes it sound to distorted. The good news is that this only happens at ridiculous sound levels, like gigging, if you are using this as a practice amp than it will suit you perfectly.

NEW REVIEW - Beast Amp

This amp is awsome. At first I didnt know what amp I wanted, I checked out Fender, Ibanez, Peavey etc. When I finally went down to GC I checked some out, and I played the Spider IV and was amazed. The Loop feature is great. Clean tone is also great. 1 problem though is that is sort of has a low sound. But once I started actually changing the treble, and bass etc. It started sounding not as low. It is heavy so I recomend getting it shipped so you dont have to carry it from the store to your car. To think I went from a little Fender Frontman 10 watt. TO a Line 6 Spider IV 75 Watt. Beast Amp!!!

Tone Jugernaut

The Spider IV is a tone jugernaut. It includes 16 ampmodels (clean, twang, class A, blues, crunch, high gain, metal, and insane), 8 red and 8 green (heavier version). You can create most all tones with these models, but if your not feeling creative there are 250+ preset artist and song tones. The majority of the artists are unknown, but the tones that they dialed in themselves are rock solid. As for the song presets, the best guitar songs from the 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's, and this decade have there tones programmed in the amp, this list includes Johnny B. Goode, Day Tripper, Gimme Shelter, Another Brick, Crazy Train, Back In Black, Enter Sandman, American Idiot, and many more. Line 6 could have saved some time by cutting down on the # of song tones, because many of the presets sound the same, like Hey Joe and Wind cries mary. Despite this Microscopic flaw, the Line 6 Spider IV is a fine amp with alot of other features, such as quick loop and auto wah.

Shockingly Good

I have played guitar for 18 years, and haven't been impressed with digital effects and modeling until now. I decided to try this amp out at guitar center one day and was amazed at the wide tonal spectrum available. I think it's important to note I believe this amp sounds better than any multi-effects processor I have heard (old or modern) because from input to speaker everything is designed to go together which I believe maximizes the final tone of this unit no matter the model or preset. The presets based on songs from the 50's through modern day sound great, and offer a great starting point to create your own tone, or to practice those particular songs. Programming the unit is very easy as is adjusting the presets. This amp gets very loud, I haven't had it past about 1/3 and that was more than enough for me to worry about neighbors in adjacent houses being bothered. I gave it 4 out of 5 because there are a few bugs that bother me. One, certain presets sound almost the same no matter which pickup combination you use or where your guitar's volume or tone is set, but then some react the way you would expect from a regular amp. Also the built in noise gate is a good feature, but sometimes reduces your sustain. Compared to a tube amp (which I own several) this amp comes awfully close to the tone (especially the fender-esq tones), but is a little tighter and edgier sounding (which is more apparent with the more gain used) – however it is still acceptable no matter what. Also the flange effect totally sucks, but that seems to be the only one. However, the ability to sound like a fender and switch to a marshall sound, then to a mesa boogie is almost invaluable and is excellent for practice and I wouldn't be afraid to record with this amp or play live. Also you can upload updates from line 6 onto the amp, so maybe the flange effect will get better. Overall I believe this amp influences my creativity because I can go from Rolling Stones to Metallica to Guns and Roses with the push of a footswitch button (programmed in the order I want). Check out line 6's website for the possible sounds then go try it out for yourself, you won't regret it.

Great amp!

This is great! I'm fairly new to electric guitar and picked this amp up for home use. It's a bit big and loud for a home amp, but this has more features than the 15W or 30W. I love it. Real easy to use - I haven't even touched the manual, yet. I mainly like the wide variety of amp sounds that are re-created for specific songs. My favorite are 'Sunshine of Your Love', 'Comfortably Numb', 'Blvd of Broken Dreams', and 'Hotel California'. It's helping me learn - I can pick one of those amp sounds and work on the song. Great amp, great price. Pick one up.
