Line 6 technology in a easy-to-use and affordable format.

The Line 6 Spider III HD75 Amplifier Head delivers 4 amp models--clean, crunch, metal, and insane—that cover a broad range of essential rock sounds. These basic sounds can then be modified with a selection of effects. Now you can rule the stage with the Insane model with its truly massive gain or explore your sensitive side in the studio with the Clean model. The Spider III amp head will give you the dialed-in tone you want in an instant. Less tweaking. More playing.

New to the Spider III is a huge range of killer mid-gain guitar tones. A critical advancement was made to the sound and feel of the Spider III line when a discerning panel of artists focused in on the venerable "mid-gain" range of tone to deliver the complex, layered and dynamic amp sounds we all appreciate from classic and boutique amps.

Effects
A great amplifier isn't the only part of a great guitar sound. With Smart Control FX, an exclusive Line 6 feature that automatically dials in different effect parameters, you spend more time playing and less time tweaking. Simply find the effect that you want, turn the knob to your desired intensity, and you're done. You can even use multiple effects at the same if you wanna get really crazy.

Ins & Outs
When you're playing with your band on stage just put the Spider III amp head on stage and crank it up. When it comes time to record, use the headphone/direct out and plug it straight into the mixing board for world-class POD 2.0 direct tone used in pro studios and stages everywhere! You can also use the same out with headphones for practicing in your bedroom. Want to play along with your favorite songs? Plug into the CD/MP3 input and you're good to go.

Amp Models
Clean: Select this Amp Model and adjust the tone controls to get crisp, amazing clean tones, great warm jazz tones, and all the high-end shimmer you'll need with a generous amount of bottom end.

Crunch: This Amp Model is based on* a '68 Marshall Plexi 100 watt with a few added extras; The combination of a Variac and the jumped input channels creates that infamous brown sound.

Metal: This Amp Model is based on* the Mesa/Boogie Dual Rectifier. Use this Amp Model to get a tight and punchy, high gain Metal sound.

Insane: This model is Line 6's "dialed in for shredding" version based on* the Mesa/Boogie Dual Rectifier red channel. It combines the intensity and impact of Metal Red, but delivers more midrange and teeth for that bone-crushing, brain piercing insane grind.

Plug in and separate yourself from the rest.

I just bought the Spider III HD75 yesterday. As soon as I got home I played for about 1 hour straight. I love the monster tone I get from this rig. It was a small investment for a killer tone. I own a VGA5(ROLAND) & love it too but for the money, this beats it. I already had a 212 cabinet & am now "gig ready" automatically with this head. Is it the best amp....I don't know....for the money....maybe? Spider III is a great amp for the beginner(economically) & for the experienced musician(sound). I strongly recommend this product!

  • Awesome little amp!

As reviewed by TimothyHellfire on 4/20/2007

I got the last one of these heads at Guitar Center because I loved the sound. When I brought it home though I was dismayed because when you switch between channels, you lose reverb or echo or whatever 'stack' effects you put on top of the amp. The instructions don't tell you much but I figured out that once you dial in the tone you want, you hold down the amp channel (A,B,C, or D) and once the lights blink, the channel now has retained reverb or chorus whenever you switch back to it. It's very easy to switch back to the 'factory' settings as well. This is a loud great little amp and compliments both add on foot pedals well. My recommendation is that you buy one of the add on pedals because you will be LOST without it!

  • Camoflaged Marshall?

As reviewed by Werewolf67 on 4/5/2007

I play with a band and the lead player swears by his Marshall JCM 800's (who in their right mind wouldn't?!), and this head can keep up with his! He's borrowed it to record with once, now he's going to buy one!
