NEW REVIEW - Very Versatile
This is a surprisingly versatile little amp! Line 6 has done a wonderful job of integrating basic amp modeling with built in effects at an unbelievable low cost. For a 15W amp this little beast is LOUD! The "Insane" setting is a real blast - screaming distortion with fantastic sustain! Oh yeah, with the built in effects you can leave your pedals at home. Everything you need is in the amp! I like it so much I'm going to buy another one to carry around, at this price why not?

NEW REVIEW - All-around great amp
I got the 75 watt version of this amp two christmases ago, and have been using it ever since. First of all, the variety of sounds you can get from this amp is amazing. With few exceptions, you can play almost any genre with this amp. I mainly play metalcore type stuff, and within this price range, you can't find a better metal sound. Whatever I feel like playing, I can dial up the right sound for it. Also, the ease of operating this amp is great. I recently joined the band at my church, and I was able to create two presets on the spot for the sounds I needed, all within no more than 30 seconds. As far as the presets go, they're great, but I haven't found much use for them besides using the song presets, which are right-on. The built-in effects are pretty good, especially the delays and reverb, but for the others I would recommend buying seperate pedals. Also, if you're gonna be using the amp live, it would highly benefit you to buy a pedalboard to control it with. Overall, this is a great amp, especially for a first amp, and it's a shame that they don't even make them anymore (as far as I know). I haven't tried the Spider 4 yet, but if it's an upgrade from this amp, it must be amazing... so, your best option would probably be to buy one of the new amps.

NEW REVIEW - Simply Great Amp
This amp is simply amazig! If you practice with an average hard rock band, don't worry about volume! The tones are simply amazing, the controls are great, although the only thing I didn't like was the sweep echo. I'm not sure if it's supposed to sound techy but I don't really like it. But this amp is great for it's price, I bought a year ago and it's in great condition. Amazing deal 5*s.

NEW REVIEW - Not good at all...
The only reason why I have this amp is because it came with my guitar and if I were given a choice I would not buy this amp. Every time I turn on the amp or change the sound channel the sound goes out of whack the effects arent great and the different sounds are horrible, the clean channel sounds fuzzy crunch is not too bad, metal sounds like muffeled garbage and insane has too much bass even when you turn the bass knob all the way down. I would give this product negative 5 stars if they had it.

for a 15 watt...
You're buying a 15 watt amp; don't expect it to blow your mind. But for a beginner's amp or for a practice amp, this thing is great. Plenty of effects, pretty decent quality. Beginners will have lots of fun messing around with the effects. Very good overall value.

SMALL BUT MIGHTY
This amp is small and only has 15 watts, but you would be surprised at the noise it can make. I put the volume on halfway and my neighbor called and said that he could hear me playing guitar! Other than noise it makes a pretty good sound. The clean channel kind of has a spacey sound, so i usually keep it on metal and if you turn the drive all the way down you get a good clean sound. Distortion is good, too. Good clarity, not the best though. But hey! its a $100 amp. I have had this amp for almost two years and i use it for practice at home and it gets the job done and more. I haven't had any problems, still in perfect shape, like the day i got it. I would recommend it to beginners or to someone who just wants something to practice with at home. Great amp!

Plug and Play
You can't find a more versatile practice AMP for the money. The variety of preset styles & effects makes this Amp truely plug and play. Mix and match and create your own sound. For the first time guitarist its a must have. Trying to understand the myriad of effects pedals on the market today will make your head spin & cost you hundreds of dollars. Try this and learn before you spend. I've had other practice Amps, Crate & Marshall, and they set the standard. Spider III is the new standard.

Awesome, but needs tweaking
If you're looking for an amp that you can jack into and immediately fall in love with, this isn't it. Because it's a modeling amp, it has a whole lot of settings and many of them are downright bizarre -- including the factory presets. So don't have your hopes up when you pull it out of the box.
It is a really good amp, though. You just need to fiddle with the EQ and effects and replace the factory presets with settings you like, that work for your guitar. It took me a couple days to start using the crunch channel for much of anything, but once I got it the way I liked it, I really did love the sound. It can get some really great tones and sounds, but finding them will take a bit of time.
Overall, it's great. Once you've settled down into roughly the right settings, there's a lot of versatility across the four channels to play all kinds of music. I'd definitely recommend it, especially for people who want built in effects (I move around a lot, so it's important for me to keep the wiring to a minimum).
