The ultimate practice/jam combo.

The Line 6 Spider III 15 Guitar Combo Amplifier delivers detailed amp models based on some of the greatest guitar sounds ever created. To keep these sounds authentic, Line 6 kidnapped some of the world's most notorious rock stars to dial in each amp model, including 311, Thursday, Lacuna Coil, Hawthorne Heights, Slipknot, Ash, Albert Lee, Athlete, John 5, and many more! Now you can rule the stage with the Insane model with its truly massive gain or explore your sensitive side in the studio with the Clean model. It's all up to you.

Amp Models:
Clean: Red LED - Select this Amp Model and adjust the tone controls to get crisp, amazing clean sounds, great warm jazz tones, and all the high-end shimmer you'll need with a generous amount of bottom end.

Crunch: Red LED - This sound was crafted during Line 6's studies* of the '68 Marshall© Plexi 50 Watt. This type of Marshall© amp was used by a number of early metal bands. Crunch provides a wider range of tone control settings than the original Marshall© amp had.

Metal: Red LED - This Amp Model is based on* the Mesa/Boogie© Dual Rectifier©. Use this Amp Model to get a tight and punchy, high gain Metal sound.

Insane: Red LED - This model is Line 6's "dialed in for shredding" version based on* the Mesa/Boogie© Dual Rectifier© red channel. It combines the intensity and impact of Metal Red, but delivers more midrange and teeth for that bone-crushing, brain piercing insane grind.

Effects:
A great amp isn't the only part of a great guitar sound. With Smart Control FX, an exclusive Line 6 feature that automatically dials in different effect parameters, you spend more time playing and less time tweaking. Simply find the effect that you want, turn the knob to your desired intensity, and you're done. You can even use multiple effects at the same if you wanna get really crazy.

Effects Models (Up to 2 effects simultaneous)
Phaser
Chorus/Flanger
Tremolo
Sweep Echo
Tape Echo
Reverb

Ins & Outs
When you're playing with your band on stage just drag the Spider III on stage and crank it up. When it comes time to record, use the headphone/direct out and plug it straight into the mixing board for world-class POD© 2.0 direct tone used in pro studios and stages everywhere! You can also use the same out with headphones for practicing in your bedroom. Want to play along with your favorite songs? Plug into the CD/MP3 input and you're good to go.

Plug in and separate yourself from the posers.

for a 15 watt...

You're buying a 15 watt amp; don't expect it to blow your mind. But for a beginner's amp or for a practice amp, this thing is great. Plenty of effects, pretty decent quality. Beginners will have lots of fun messing around with the effects. Very good overall value.

SMALL BUT MIGHTY

This amp is small and only has 15 watts, but you would be surprised at the noise it can make. I put the volume on halfway and my neighbor called and said that he could hear me playing guitar! Other than noise it makes a pretty good sound. The clean channel kind of has a spacey sound, so i usually keep it on metal and if you turn the drive all the way down you get a good clean sound. Distortion is good, too. Good clarity, not the best though. But hey! its a $100 amp. I have had this amp for almost two years and i use it for practice at home and it gets the job done and more. I haven't had any problems, still in perfect shape, like the day i got it. I would recommend it to beginners or to someone who just wants something to practice with at home. Great amp!

Plug and Play

You can't find a more versatile practice AMP for the money. The variety of preset styles & effects makes this Amp truely plug and play. Mix and match and create your own sound. For the first time guitarist its a must have. Trying to understand the myriad of effects pedals on the market today will make your head spin & cost you hundreds of dollars. Try this and learn before you spend. I've had other practice Amps, Crate & Marshall, and they set the standard. Spider III is the new standard.

Awesome, but needs tweaking

If you're looking for an amp that you can jack into and immediately fall in love with, this isn't it. Because it's a modeling amp, it has a whole lot of settings and many of them are downright bizarre -- including the factory presets. So don't have your hopes up when you pull it out of the box. It is a really good amp, though. You just need to fiddle with the EQ and effects and replace the factory presets with settings you like, that work for your guitar. It took me a couple days to start using the crunch channel for much of anything, but once I got it the way I liked it, I really did love the sound. It can get some really great tones and sounds, but finding them will take a bit of time. Overall, it's great. Once you've settled down into roughly the right settings, there's a lot of versatility across the four channels to play all kinds of music. I'd definitely recommend it, especially for people who want built in effects (I move around a lot, so it's important for me to keep the wiring to a minimum).

This is the way to go!

Spider3 line 6.... How do I describe it? Perfect. No exaggeration. This has the greatest effects on it out of all the amps I have bought. Yeah there is not a single flaw other than it is 15 waats, which dont get me wrong, its loud, but it could be louder if you play gigs. Goodluck!
