PXT Live
Started with the floor pod. Lot's of fun, but really just a toy to play around the house with. I thought this product would be a little better for live, and it is. It is pretty complicated and you have to read all the instructions to get it right. Line 6 offers a gillion "patches" on line so you can sound like anyone you can think of. Tons of fun, but pretty complicated.

My room studio
I have the xt live hooked up to my computer. Sounds great when i silently recond onto my ableton live recording software. I can't believe how simple this thing is to work. It has soo many complex features. It's cool how they integrated it into that tiny lcd screen. I've already recorded a few songs. This is the beginning of a great thing. I love the support online. You can type in a song and the software will program the sound for you. Very rugged and durable. It's also expandable. I have the expression pedal too. Very nice!!

Line 6 Pods and Amps
I am the guitarist for Newgrass Review, as well as a session musician, line 6 has everything covered from the Studio to the Stage. Dependability,Quality. the tones are clear and unique and quiet. Compared to the other effects I have used in the past 25 years this puts them all to shame, you need to check out the great line of amps from Line 6

Tone Gods
Just bought this a few days ago and now I have access to any tone I can think up. This rig does it all. Direct recording to DAW sounds great. So easy to program. I will never have to deal with losing my mic placements in my studio ever again. This will replace my TC Elec G-Major.

I never thought
I never thought I would buy another effects anything, I always thought the best sound was pure amp. The great thing about this pedal is now I have all the amps I've always wanted. And the means to program, mix and match and tweak them all to my own sound with endless possibilities. And if I cant think of it someone else will and post it on custometone. Great pedal and awsome buy.

Excellent
Perfect blend of simplicity and effectiveness. You can store a ridiculous number of tones in this unit; it's possible to save about 100 customized sounds in all. The amp models (even the vintage ones) are spot-on, and all the effects are highly adjustable, whether you want them non-existant, subtle, or in-your-face. I'll never need another pedal again because this has every effect worth owning on it. Being able to plug right into the PA system is extremely nice, but it sounds just as amazing through an amp. In the studio it's great- just plug in and play; you get the exact same tones as in a live setting. If you're nervous about it sounding too "digital," don't be.
My only complaints are very minor. All the effects are high-quality, but some are just impractical. Factory presets are awful but that's not what you're buying this for. READ THE MANUAL! Also some basic knowledge of guitar tone goes a long way into getting the most out of the PODXT Live. This thing is worth every penny.

For the curious!!!!!
I've had this pedal for 3 months now. It's pretty awesome what you can do with it. I love the USB connectivity which is great for quick editing . The PODxt LIVE is very easy to use. You can set different output settings to work with whatever you're plugged in to. I recomend it for anyone who loves to tweak there sound because there are endless possibilities with this thing!

Excellent on-the-fly modulation and great sound
If you're even contemplating buying this unit, just bite the bullet and do it. This thing is all but unbelievable in the things it can do, and (unless you're comparing it to higher POD models) you will not be disappointed. You will never spend enough time in the store playing with it (even if you're there all the time), so just take it home and enjoy.
I play a Gibson SG and I've owned it for over 6 months and usually play it through my computer ('cuz the baby's sleeping when I'm playing), and it presents new pleasures every day.
Line 6 was truly inspired when they gave the modulation pedal live tweak control (eg: you can tweak any effect's speed, depth, mix, etc...) on the fly. Try that with your typical stomp box!
Whether you're in to ambient sound, or downright evil hairiness, this thing will deliver it in spades.
It does take some time to delve into its depths, but it is well worth it.
I would really like to see min/max settings on the modulation (ie: mod speed ranges that are a subset of the full range).
The keyboard-type sound affects are pretty much worthless if you're a guitar player (eg: weird benders and digital-sounding junk)
Personally I think the octave effect should be in the mod bank rather than the stomp bank so it could be used in conjunction with a stomp distortion.
Beyond those very few cons (when you consider the thousands of combinations of effects), the POD XT Live is simply badass - and you'll never get these kinds of sounds together with all of the best stompboxes in a chain.

the perfect tool...
I play with difrent bands, difrent styles and the PODXT live is the best tool i could ever get, if someone doesn?t like it is only cuz he doesn?t understand it, i think is the most simple way to sound the way u want, wherever u want, u only need to get the rigth pickups and believe me u dont need nothing more, maybe the external expression pedal but either whitout it, it really rocks...

Awsome
I played this bad boy at a friends house and fell in love!!! He plays major gigs with it and it really shapes his sound! As soon as I have the money I'm getting one of my own...It's by far the BEST effects pedal ever!!!
