With its rugged steel construction, 11-channel select and effect on/off footswitches, and a built-in wah/volume/tweak pedal, POD XT Live puts the power of the POD at your feet for onstage use.   • Great Buy!

    First off, I have to say that I'm not a hardcore guitarist, so for those who'd like to discredit this review, it's fine by me. From my experience with this PodXT piece of hardware, I love it. It has more sounds then I can shake a stick at, and the ability to work with GuitarPort software helps me to make personalized sounds a lot more easily than I could otherwise. I also enjoy using the AUX in jack to play along with songs from my iPod or my computer (it makes learning some songs much more feasible, in my opinion).

    This pedal is absolutely fantastic, it has basically every effect and amp style you could possibly want, it's built mainly of metal so it's very sturdy, the sounds it comes with are great, but what really comes in handy, is the online patch library, line 6 has an online patch library that has every sound you can ask for, even some of your favorite guitarists sounds, the few downfalls I've found after having the pedal for awhile now are, the expression pedal, it is a wah and volume pedal, and it works amazing, but after awhile, the pedal gets a little lose, making the sound a bit off sometimes, and the knobs are very touchy, the slightest move can raise the volume exponentially, but besides that it's an amazing pedal and highly recommended for all kinds of music, the sturdy build makes it great for gigging, tho it's always recommended to by the bag, for you never know what can happen next, 5star 100%

  • A truly good product...

    I'm a bit of a tone fanatic, so let me start of by saying I prefer analog over digital any day of the week... that being said, the pod xt live has a lot to offer, and if you sit down and make a sound from the ground up (the presets suck, get over it...) you can get some really amazing tones out of this thing. If you have an ear for tone and learn how to edit, then you will be happy with this pedal. My personal settings for my distortion channel are the solo-100 amp and a tube screamer. People complain about the sounds being to sterile, but if you learn how to properly use this pedal, and keep it simple (don't overdo effects, eq's, ect.) some people will swear up and down there's a half stack sitting behind you! I'v owned this pedal since its release, and still have fun with it. If you want a lot of tonal options for a little budget the line 6 will satisfy until you can afford your dream rig.
