  • Best Budget Amp Modeller!!

As reviewed by Fse on 6/16/2010

A hundred dollars for dozens of amps and effects! One of the best deals out there. It's also super easy to record with and very user friendly. You wont get tube amps tones, but you can get suprisingly close if you tweak around. Great tool for musicians who can't afford to spend thousands of dollars on an amp.

  • Amazing Useful Porgram

As reviewed by R. L. Clark on 6/6/2010

I can't say enough good things about this product. Very user friendly interface and the tones are amazing. I record multiple guitar tracks using the dual tone feature and even send a clean signal for re-amping later if I want using a different tone. You can use the mixing console to pan guitars or adjust input level to prevent clipping. The main thing though is great tone. The amp sims and cabs and pedals modeled are fantastic. A great buy you won't be disappointed.

  • Next best thing...

As reviewed by Xtover on 6/6/2010

The world of amp modeling has definitely come a long way, and Line 6's Pod Farm seems to be the leader of the pack. First off, I am not going to recommend this over the sound of a real amp. But for the home recording musician that has limited resources, this can be a guitarist's best friend. This is a powerful product. The so-called Brit J 800 otherwise known as "Marshall JCM", delivers a nice crunchy tube tone. The 1993 Solo 100 Head had a decent quality distortion also. It is a bit limited on the "Metal tones", however that's what the Metal expansion pack is for ;) The selection of guitar effects is enough to keep you glued to your computer in the wee hours of the night. The computer animated amp head and mic'ed up cabinet add a nice litte touch for virtual tweaking. For those that don't have much experience with recording guitars or just want a very easy way to record, this program is for you. Just make sure that you have a reliable interface. The Line 6 UX2 works well, however feels a little cheap and flimsy.
