The only modulation pedal you need

Line 6 has made a great effects pedal with models of many classic effects pedals. If you want chorus, flanger, phaser, or any other modulation effect, the MM4 is for you. It offers true bypass so as not to effect your tone when the pedal is not in use, and it's stereo inputs and outputs allow for phenomenal stereo effects when used with two amplifiers. I use this pedal in a hard rock band, and find the 4 user memories very useful. If you don't want to tweak the effects, you can just dial up each effect, and the default setting is that of the classic pedal that it emulates. This is a high quality multi-effects pedal for a great value.

Cool!!!

Taking a stab at modelling some of the best vintage pedals is one tall task, but Line 6 has always amazed us with their noble attempts. Vintage modulation freaks may have a gripe here or there about the individual effects, but to us, most of these models are absolutely stunning in terms of warmth and overall realism. Highly tweakable parameters can yield varying results but we were able to dial up something pleasing on nearly every patch. We were very impressed by the various tremolos and choruses. The tremolos had a usable rate range and that little woomph at the crest of the wave to give it that pseudo-Fender flair. The choruses were wide and spacious and had that smooth crisp shimmer we are always looking for. I?m sure each of you will gravitate towards your own ?pet? effect on the MM4, just don?t be surprised if you find a few new ones here

A bit pricey...but worth every penny

The Line 6 MM-4 came into my life after seeing that Bruce Cockburn was using one on stage. After a bit of research, I realized that this pedal was a combination of the best chorus, flange, etc. sounds you could buy all in one handy package. The MM-4 take a bit of time to figure out; I recommend reading the manual to learn all the ways you can tweak the amazing amount of sound you can get outta thi blue box. I especially appreciate the vintage modeling of expensive rare pedals--the modeling is top notch and the settings are great fuel for the creative fires. Line 6 is known for their quality, and the MM-4 has performed well not only live but also in the studio, where I often choose it over computer based plug-ins due to great tone. Grab one and start playing around--I guarantee you'll stumble upon a little hidden gem in there.
