Modern and classic stompbox models in a powerful and portable package.

The Line 6 M9 Stompbox Modeler has enough stunning guitar pedal sounds to spark the gear lust in every guitarist-Swirling phasers, tangy choruses, syrupy sweet reverbs, and more. The comprehensive list of available M9 models features all the effects from best-selling Line 6 pedals. Access all the famous sounds from DL4 Delay Modeler, DM4 Distortion Modeler, FM4 Filter Modeler, MM4 Modulation Modeler, Verbzilla, Echo Pro, and more.

M9 Stompbox Modeler is set up like three FX units. Each effects unit can have two stomps at the ready, and any three effects can play simultaneously. Use one effect at a time, arrange effects in tried-and-true combinations, or create your own original blends.

Use the Line 6 M9 Stompbox Modeler to create 6 different stompbox arrangements, or pedalboard "scenes"-one for your metal band, one for your punk band, one for your Top 40 gig-you get the picture. No more tearing up Velcro just to switch out one or two pedals. Plus, the Line 6 M9 pedal features MIDI in/out, for you to back up your scenes to your computer or control the unit with a MIDI controller.

Inspired by the simplicity of classic stompboxes, the Line 6 M9 guitar effects pedal is incredibly easy to use. Tweak your tones on the fly using the dedicated knobs and easy-to-read LCD window. Just turn the knobs and you're done-no menus, no saving, no hassles-and your tweaks remain, even after you power down.

Complete with a full-featured, 28-second looper, Line 6 M9 Stompbox Modeler allows for extended in-the-moment looping. It has all the necessary looper controls with dedicated footswitches to make looping easy: Record, Record/Overdub, Play/Stop, Play Once, Undo/Redo, Half Speed and Reverse (The looper can be used simultaneously with the three FX Units.).

The Line 6 M9 multi effect pedal features plenty of ins and outs. 1/4" mono/stereo inputs and outputs (with True Analog Bypass or DSP Bypass) let you put M9 Stompbox Modeler before, after, or between your other pedals. Connect expression pedals to the two 1/4" expression pedal jacks to morph smoothly between tones. MIDI in/out, which is perfect for backing up your "scenes", also makes the Line 6 effects pedal compatible with many popular MIDI control systems.

The Line 6 M9 guitar pedal is built tank-tough with all-metal construction. From the chassis to the footswitches, M9 withstands constant stomping. Together with its built-in chromatic tuner, the Line 6 M9 Stompbox Modeler's generations of sonic treasures and brain-dead-simple design will prove indispensable-not to mention highly addictive.

  • Line 6 M9 is MMMMMMMMM Good!!! That's M-9

As reviewed by TYLER SMITH on 9/14/2012

If you don't want a mess of patch cables wondering which one is crapping your sound up and a floor full of stompboxes, but don't want to go the rackmount route then this is the unit for you! I've been using my Line M9 since late 2010. My band is a successful regional (SW US) cover band. We play many styles of music from the 60's-Today ranging from Country, Rock, Pop, Dance, Hip Hop, etc. We play basically and and every kind of music for corporate events, festivals, receptions, parties, and clubs as well. I have found the M9 can supply any tone & any effect I need for every song we play. M9's Distortion models are great and have great response that is almost exactly the same as the pedals they are modeled after and the compressor models are awesome as well! The same goes for the effects. All of the parameters and capabilities of the effects are so similar to the real pedals I have no need for any other effects or distortion pedals. Also the fact that the M9 has the capability to select True Bypass mode is one of my favorite things about this unit. Although, I do use my amp distortion channel on occasion, an external wah, and when going between single coil and humbucker mode on my guitar I do have an external clean volume boost that I use to make up for the dB loss, but that is all aside from the M9. In conclusion the M9 has been the best addition to my pedalboard!

  • Perfect match for my Fender Deville amp

As reviewed by jaime rodriguez on 9/21/2011

Replacing my Boss GT6 in search of better tone and found myself reviewing Line 6 pedals so I went for the multi-effects M9. Wasnt too happy with the distortions (we do a Killswitch Engage cover), but the other effects sounded great through my old Marshal hybrid amp. Then I picked up a Fender Hotrod Deville amp and wow.... Distortion sounds heavier/warmer/fatter! M9 Reverb is decent (love surf tunes), but not as good as my Fender amp. Tremolo, Delays also kick arse through my Semi-Hollowbody Hagstrom Viking. GT6 is craigslist bound!

  • Overdrives and distortions lack, all else is great!

As reviewed by Matt on 8/5/2011

This box does it all, and then some. I use it for everything except the overdrives and distortions. The only effect in the yellow channel that I found useable was the Boost effect, which is quite good. This is quite a robust box for the price when you consider all that you get with it, and when combined with the expression pedal, this unit is fantastic.
