Product Information

All the essential bass tones in one package.

One of the first bass amps from Line 6, the Low Down Studio 110 Combo Bass Amp delivers an incredible array of dialed-in, stage-perfected bass tones. While most bass combos focus on volume and clean tone, LowDown offers 4 killer bass amp models that cover everything from funk to classic rock and beyond. Plus, the oversized, high-speed power amp has incredible articulation and bottom end punch that's ideal for live or studio work.

The LowDown delivers 4 carefully crafted amp models that can take you from modern punch to a thunderous, full-on assault! Each model automatically dials up a great sound that you can change to your liking and save into a preset using the channel memories on the front panel.

Clean — Inspired by the Eden Traveler*, this model is all about clean, funk, and fusion bass tone. It'll give you all the warm lows and punchy highs you need.

R & B — Inspired by a 1968 B-15 Flip Top, this model is a tribute to those late 60's and early 70's clean fat bass tones. It is the kind of tone you here on most Motown recordings, as played by a pioneering young James Jamerson.

Rock - This model is inspired by the '74 Ampeg SVT. This workhorse has appeared on innumerable recordings and arena stages worldwide. And now all the tone of the 300 lb behemoth 8X10 and head is available in your combo!

Grind — As the name would suggest, this is for modern rock lovers, Alice in Chains to Mudvayne and Rage Against The Machine. Based on a distorted SansAmp PSA-1 into an SVT in addition to a direct clean bass signal mixed in, this model gives you that angry, clear and punchy aggression that takes your sound to DEFCON 1.

The XLR Direct Output was designed for recording or sending your sound to a house sound system when you're playing live. This output utilizes exclusive Line 6 A.I.R. processing which has made products like POD the undisputed standard for direct recording. Whether you're playing a gig in a club or rushing off to a recording session, this POD-based direct out will give you huge, mic'd amp tone everywhere you go!

Great for practice and gigs!

I was looking for a small combo to use when there just isn't room for my Peavey 4x10 half stack. We play classic rock, pretty much all genres and eras, so I needed something that modelled a lot of different amps and tones, at an affordable price. When the salesman pointed me to the Line 6 Low Down Studio 110 I thought, "No way is this going to deliver". I was wrong, this little baby can kick! It impressed everyone in the band at rehearsal the next night. I've used it twice at gigs, once outdoors as a preamp for my Peavey stack, and once as a stage monitor, using the XLR direct in to the house PA. Great tones, easy to use, small package, low price. It fit my needs to perfection!

Have Bass Will Travel!

This little monster is amazing! Had to downsize my practice rig due to space limitations and decibel limitations where my band currently rehearses. I told the guy at GC that I already had something that sounded good at gig volume; I need something that sounds good at very low volume. He showed me this. 10 minutes later I owned it. Took it to practice last night and I had a big smile on my face all night. The features included on this thing are fantastic, even for the price. There are other small practice amps that sound good and cost $50 or $100 less, but you don't get the "extras" that this has. This thing allows me to pick up and go play anywhere and not have to take anything other than my bass, and a cable and a tuner. I can leave the pedal board at home because it has a built-in compressor, amp models that sound great, overdrive, DI and even a synth/envelope filter (that sounds amazingly good). My only wish is that it had a built-in tuner, but I am not going to ding it for that. Honestly, that is all that is missing. Soundwise, it is very good. It is hard to believe that so much tone can come from such a small box. It isn't gong to replace a 4x10 or a 1x15, but it is not meant to either. You pay a price for portability. But with this thing, the price just went down! And you still can legitimately shake the walls with it. I'm not sure how it will do with a drummer yet. But for small practices and recording, it is perfect. If you are tired of lugging a heavy combo around to practice or for impromptu jams like I was (this is replacing an SWR WM12), check this thing out. Did I mention it weighs less than 25 pounds and will fit in your lap if need be?

Great amp for the price

I bought this amp as my second amp(previously using a fender rumble 15) and this amp blows it away. It has good features, I especially like the grind. I would say save you money a little more and get a half stack, but if you want an amp for band practice or recording, and maybe some gigs, this is it.

Great portable amp and head!

This is a great portable amp it has the Watt's to stand against a drum set. and it just sounds great! the effects are also a great thing to have i mainly use the Rock effect with no drive to get a great low end boost.and it is light weight 24lb.! I'm a weak 15 year old teenage and i have no problem carrying it. i also use it like a head because it makes my TKO® 115 by Peavey sound alot better.

Awsome Amp

This thing just blew me away. The tone quality and the combinations of various sounds that can be produced from this amplifier is just amazing. I am using a Gretsch Electromatic Jr Jet Bass (another incredible little wonder)with this amp and it's absolutely amzaing the variety of clear, clean tones that can be produced with this combination. I haven't had this much fun in years. Solid and well buit, compact and lound enough from small gigs and practice. Just incredible!
