The Line 6 DT50 212 Guitar Combo Amp is medium sized with an amplification system that is able to configure and adapt its analog components and digital modeling in real time.
This means that when you select a model, the DT50 Amp instantly reconfigures the tube power section to provide the optimal tone. The digital section monitors the tube power section and can adjust the DSP in real-time.
At high volumes, the tubes provide more distortion. At low volumes, the modeling delivers more of the coloration. The digital section now “talks” to the analog section, and vice versa.
Matched with 2 Celestion speakers, the DT50 212 gives you great tone and authentic feel at all volumes all the time.

I love this amp! I'm not a gigging musician, just play with friends at home so I was looking for something that sounds good at low as well as high volume. And this amp sounds amazing with both. You get easily 4 distint voicings from clean to Mesa dirty and with two channels you can have a great clean sound ready and then throw the flames! I have played for 30 plus years and owned many, many amps...this is my favorite by far. I don't think anyone would be unhappy with this purchase.
I put quite a bit of research into selecting a high quality 2/12 tube amp. Line 6 delivers with the DT50. In the end the DT50 hybrid (analog components running with digital tec) gave me the widest range of sounds; all at an extremely high quality no matter the volume range. The combo of the celestion speakers with the Line 6 technology is almost as if they built the thing to my specific specs. I'm mostly playing at lower volumes at home and couldn't be happier with the sound quality, but I'm also wishing I didn't have neighbors because the quality remains consistent when you blast the thing... and trust me, It's plenty loud when you want it to be. Could easily play mid size venues with out running the thing through a house sound system. It's pricy compared to other (kinda) similar options, but in my experience you get what you pay for. This is definitely true of this Amp.
All I can say is WOW! This amp kicks major butt! I bought this to marry with my new POD HD500 and they are unbelievable together! All the tones you could dream of, and very very good sound quality. This amp really shines by itself as well. Plug straight in, and this amp rocks! Froma clean Fender sound to a vintage Marshall. Dont be fooled by other modeling amps, as this is the real deal. At low volumes, (low power mode) this amp acts like it's cranked which is great for small venues or bedroom playing. Throw her into high power mode and let the tubes takeover with sonic heaven. Buy one, you won't be disappointed. By far, the best AMP I've ever owned!
