The Lighting LED Par 64 features 177 10mm LED lights (60 red, 56 blue, and 61 green) for a nice, affordable addition to any lighting rig. Giving you choices, this LED PAR light can run in DMX mode (7 channels) or auto mode RGB. It also has a color strobe effect, electronic dimming from 0 to 100%, and it includes a hanging bracket so you can hang it where you most need it.
I bought this to get a start in DMX lighting. I use a Chauvet Obey 40 controller. The light itself is bright, but the automated patterns and changes are fairly limited and would be useless other than for a disco or something. Using the Obey 40, I could perform my own RGB mixing and fading as well as strobe thus giving full control of the light. The down side on this light is the fan noise. It has a computer case size fan that is extremely loud - much louder than my QSX/Behringer power amps. In a large venue with the lights elevated, it probably wouldn't matter, but for a smaller room the fan can be heard almost anywhere. Multiple of these would likely be too much background noise. My next purchase will be a fanless model.
