This is a dual channel effects processor that can be used in a studio or for live applications. The unit can be interfaced with a computer by using the USB port. I found that this unit really shined for live applications (but it was good in the studio too). The front panel is easy to use, but you may want a rack light to make it a bit easier to read. The unit has 99 factory presets and most of them are very usable (I especially like number 37). The unit has another 99 user programmable slots so you can make your own patches so that they fit your needs. I love Lexicon?s reverbs and you will find may great variations of their reverbs with this unit!

More than you pay for

By ironzeppelin04

Comments about Lexicon MX200 Dual Reverb/Effects Processor:

This is a great little effects processor for the money you put into it. It has awsome reverb which I use on acoustic guitar, snare drum, horns, and vocals. It gives your acoustic a warm tone, your drums deeper punch, your horns a cool smooth feeling, and a lot richer vocals. This is also a fun effects unit for electric guitar players, for its wide range of effect combinations including reverbs, delays, chorus, flange, phaser and pitch shift. Highly recomended for people on a low bugdet and want more than they can afford, or for players who just like to fun messing around with different styles of sound.

Great FX Processor

By CDOG

from bolinas, CA

Comments about Lexicon MX200 Dual Reverb/Effects Processor:

My friend just bought the Lexicon MX200 Dual Reverb/Effects Processor. This unit is cheap but only in price. The reverbs are pristine, the delays are amazing, modulation FX are all top grade and highly controlable. It made the dry PA in my studio really come alive. Once programing some user presets and hooking up a doulbe footswicth in became apparent how handy this unit is for the live vocalist.I give this device high marks for such a little bit of $$$!!! Real nice way to enter the world of FX processors.

Lexicon, it does not get any better

    By PAUL ANGLE

    from N Dallas TX

Comments about Lexicon MX200 Dual Reverb/Effects Processor:

Not only does this unit manifest amazing reverb qualities, w 99 presets, 4 routing options, it does incredible delays, tremolo, rotary, pitch shifting, and so on. While not a guitar processor per se' it can be used in this manner. It is also a studio level reverb tool. There are some issues here regarding the working line of this unit. This is not instrument level and it will work with TS plugs, it is designed for balanced TRS. Most guitar amp loops are instrument level and while this unit is superb quality and will function on lower instrument level you may notice the input LED levels will hardly register and if you crank the input level you are likely to get hiss from the level not being matched. If your loop can manifest a line level signal you are in business. I use this unit in a complex rackmount guitar rig, coming out of my preamp at instrument level, I go into a Presonus instrument real tube preamp which changes the unbalanced into a balanced line level signal, the XLR outs on this go into the TRS inputs on the MX200 via XLR to TRS cables. This method offers very quiet operation and clarity. So an amazing unit but not a guitar pedal and treating it like one only results in lower performance, although it is by far better than any pedals you might use.

I'm a one man band. I have my own recording studio. I record all my music and vocals, leave off everything I play live, I have recently bought a new PA system.I'm loving the sounds I'm getting from my Lexicon.I love the duel effects capability. It's well worth the price.

Comments about Lexicon MX200 Dual Reverb/Effects Processor:

don't be fooled by the price, the mx200 kicks butt. I just slapped $699 for an eventide h9 max and then compared it to an mx200 and THE MX200 sounded every bit as good as the h9 in my guitar amp f/x loop for delays and reverbs.no joking. the delays and reverbs are as good.super quiet like the h9 without the hefty price tag.like the h9, mx200 has a pc editor and unlike the h9 can run 2 effects at one time. I had an mx400, but the mx200 to me sounds identical and the mx400's 4 effects mode sucks, though in 2 effect mode the mx400 gives you more parameters to tweak, but it made no difference for me anyway.
