I purchased this strap to replace an old beat up leather strap I had been using. It's light weight yet very comfortable to wear while either playing the acoustic guitar I purchased from Guitar Center, or while I'm wearing it while jammin' out on my Fender Fretless Jazz bast. I don't think you could find a more comfortable strap or even a strap as well made, even at twice the price of this strap. This strap has been very versible and a breeze to adjust in length switching between a 4.5 inch acoustic guitar to adjusting it ti use with a 2 inch think Fender Jazz or Fender P Bass. Highly recommended. This has been one of the most comfortable straps I have worn to date. Not "THE" most comfortable, but one of the most comfortable straps.

The quality of the strap is excellent. I only marked it down to 3 stars because it is too short. It would be very comfortable for a person that is far shorter than me (6ft 2in). I can use it at home practicing on a Stratocaster but no chance on an acoustic. This would be an easy fix. just make the adjustment tab section about 8 inches longer.

Nice Looking, Wrong Fit

By Steve

from New Hudson, MI

Comments about Levy's Soft Suede Guitar Strap:

I use this Levy's Soft Suede strap on a Gibson V2 and it works okay. It is a nice looking strap that functions as it should and is nice quality. I have the light tan color that goes well with the natural wood grain finish on my guitar. The only problem I have with it is the length. I?m 6?2? and tend to have the guitar slung low. I have the strap adjusted on the to last position and the transition of the wide part to the narrow part of the strap falls right on my collar bone and the guitar is not as low as I usually play it. It may work for someone else or perhaps a different style guitar.

Comfortable and gorgeous

By Al

from Anniston, AL

Comments about Levy's Soft Suede Guitar Strap:

No guitar strap is going to change your life.... but these(I needed and bought two) are beautiful and very comfortable. The black looks great with my very old Epiphone Texan and the brown looks perfect with my new satin finish Morgan Monroe.. As it happened, neither of my guitars has a top body strap post and so the straps are attached to the head with the provided cords (thank you!). I like a rather high playing position with the guitars, so I still have 3-4 inches of adjustment left despit being a big guy. Hmmm thnk I will buy one for my nephew, now that I think about it! Excellent proudct quality by the way and fantastic service from the guitar center!

Pretty bad

By Frank Wrench

from Undisclosed

Comments about Levy's Soft Suede Guitar Strap:

The strap is extremely small on me (probably a combination of my guitar and my size, I'm 6'2" and was using a custom Les Paul). It put the guitar in a really high position (which was fine for me) but instead of my shoulder being on the strap part it was on the tightening part so there was a huge knot in my shoulder. It looks cool though and it would be good with the right guitar so check it out at store first to see if it fits.

Levy straps are the best I've ever owned

By Keith

from Mobile, AL

Comments about Levy's Soft Suede Guitar Strap:

I've been playing guitar, bass, and banjo for 48 years and owned a variety of straps and Levy makes the best. I noted that several other reviewers complained about the short length of the straps that they bought. The standard size strap can be short for some guitars, depending on the placement of the strap buttons, and they can also be sort because of the size of the player. Levy makes two sizes of straps, a standard size and an XL size that is 12 inches longer and usually about ten dollars more expensive. For some reason most retailers only carry the standard size but can get the XL as a special order. Special orders usually come in from Levy in about 3 weeks. Its worth getting the XL rather than fight with a strap that is a little to short. Measure how long your strap needs to be before you purchase, order the correct size and I'm sure you will be happy with it.

My new favorite strap

By Joey

from New York

Comments about Levy's Soft Suede Guitar Strap:

I like to use this strap for my acoustic bass guitar which is a big and relatively heavy instrument but the strap holds up very well. The suede is very comfortable and the leather on the sides does not scratch your neck at all. I would recommend this strap to anyone having trouble finding a strong strap for their heavy instrument.

A great strap

By Guitarist

from CA

Comments about Levy's Soft Suede Guitar Strap:

I had been using cheap nylon straps for a couple months when I switched to this strap and the only word to describe it is amazing. My shoulder no long gets soar and marks from where the nylon strap would dig in. Definetly a great investment getting a Levy's Soft Suede Guitar Strap

Won't Fall Off

By sundaymeatnbun

from NW, OR

Comments about Levy's Soft Suede Guitar Strap:

This strap is super comfy and the suede looks awsome. I decided to get this after my previous strap kept slipping off my Les Paul, not cool. So I looked at this, tried the great deal. It hasn't slipped off since.

Levy guitar strap (suede)

By Dr. Udo Steppat

from Frankfurt, Germany

Comments about Levy's Soft Suede Guitar Strap:

The Levy guitar strap (winered suede)has a noble appearance and a very accurate manufacturing (stiching). It is also very comfortable while playing the guitar. Good value for the money. Go and get it - you will not be disappointed.

Just didn't work for me

By Tweedledee

from Chicago, IL

Comments about Levy's Soft Suede Guitar Strap:

I bought two of these Soft Suede straps online based on the great reviews. They are very high-quality straps that look great, but they just didn't fit me correctly no matter how I adjusted them. I think I must have exactly the wrong body size. They always sat in an odd position and were uncomfortable. I really wanted to like them because of how nice they looked and how wide they were, but they just weren't right for me.

Great Strap At An Affordable Price...

By Leo Thomas

from Boston

Comments about Levy's Soft Suede Guitar Strap:

I have 3 of these straps on various guitars that i've owned for quite a few years now. They are very well made and very comfortable, maybe not as comfortable as the 3" Levys leather straps or more but none the less very comfortable. Adjustment with these type of straps always takes a few goes to get it right but once it's adjusted it doesn't move or slip. The piping on the edges keeps the strap from digging into your shoulder for added comfort. I think the strap looks great which is why I keep buying them. For the price, I don't think you will find a better strap. I can't see anyone being dissapointed with this item, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

No slip here

By Son of Plunder

from Langhorne, PA

Comments about Levy's Soft Suede Guitar Strap:

I've had this strap a while and I gotta say, its a pretty nice fit. I guess if you like your guitar hanging low, this strap probably won't be for you, but otherwise its comfy. The Soft Suede texture keeps your axe from sliding around when you really dig in, so it beats the heck out of a nylon. The width keeps it pretty comfy, but some padding would help the comfort for long sets. Not the most comfy strap in the world, but pretty dang good.

Quality

By El Condor

from Bloomington

Comments about Levy's Soft Suede Guitar Strap:

I bought this for my G&L Strat and it is perfect in every way. I bought some thicker ones to support the weight of my LP and 335, but the thinner one is sharp and sufficient for the light weight of the Strat. Like lipstick on a pig, Levy straps ad a touch of class to even the most beat up old axes. Buy one now, you'll not be sorry!!!

Very Nice Strap

By Anonymous Musician

from NY

Comments about Levy's Soft Suede Guitar Strap:

I got this as an upgrade from the basic nylon fender strap that I had bought with my MIM Jazz. The difference between the two was like night and day. I just wanted to play my bass more because I could hardly feel it on my shoulder. However, after a good one to two hours I do still get tired. The tan leather goes really well with my sunburst finish and I like the length. I keep my bass pretty high up for playability and this strap can accommodate that, but I could just as easily hang it pretty low and I'm 6'2". My bass is balanced pretty well, but I am also confident that the suede finish could hold a t-bird or EB-3 in place. Definitely a good purchase

Levy Strap

By T-roy

from Tupelo, MS

Comments about Levy's Soft Suede Guitar Strap:

Have many of these straps. All are well made except the newest one. Seems Levy has changed to some type of cheap plastic/rubber binding. From a distance you can't tell but up close it's really obvious.

treat yourself to some comfort

By sam hutsler

from lancaster ohio

Comments about Levy's Soft Suede Guitar Strap:

I have 2 of these straps, 1 on a les paul custom and the other on a sg 400. i had a nylon strap on the les and just didn't like the way it felt or looked, went to GC site and found the levy's straps, found the color i wanted and placed the order. It arrived a few days later and it looked even better than the pictures and the comfort is great as it adds time I can play. With my old strap it would dig into my neck and shoulder( the paul has some heft to it) i don't find myself adjusting the new strap much at all it dosen't slide the way old when did. And they do look great, bought 1 for the sg and it really isn't heavy at all just love the feel and the look of these straps. I will purchase more.

Nice Strap-Could Be Nicer

By Tom

from Columbia, SC

Comments about Levy's Soft Suede Guitar Strap:

This is a well made, fairly priced, very comfortable strap, but it is too short for all but the average sized player and below. I am 6'2 and my bass sits way too high on my body until I disassembled the strap and now I use it in a way that is not intended. The alternative was to wear my bass like Buck Owens! So, now I am worried it may slip and drop my precious 67 Precision Bass. It needs to be a LOT longer ( A MINIMUM of 6"-8") in order to be able to be used as intended. If you are 5'9 or under, it will be ideal for you. If you are taller, be forewarned and if you plan to use it with an acoustic, plan to add 12"-16" to it or fuggitaboutit.
