The Levy's Boot Leather Guitar Strap has a 2-1/2"-wide face. This guitar strap is crafted from the same boot leather used in finely tooled boots and saddles. A 3" padded glove-leather back offers wonderful comfort during those long playing sessions. The Levy's Boot Leather Guitar Strap adjusts from 44" to 53".
This was just the strap I needed for my Ovation. The craftsmanship is excellent and the padding is comfortable. The leather at the widest part is 2 3/8" plus the padding making it actually 3 1/4" in total width. The holes for attaching the strap are reinforced with stitching. This strap should be around long after the guitar is gone.
I thought I would be fine with the free strap I was given when I purchased my Strat, but it never felt right. I decided to go out and get a decent strap. Although the price is a bit high for a guitar strap, it is amazingly comfortable and very well made. I've had it for four years now and it has stood up to abuse from jamming and gigging a lot. Leather is a great material, and it really shows with this strap
I am using this to replace my well worn Ernie Ball web strap on an ES 137. The Levy's strap is very well made and has a sufficient amount of cushioning to make prolonged playing comfortable. I was using Dunlop strap locks on the ES 137, but with the Levy's strap, you almost don't need the strap lock. The boot leather holds well. I suppose as it wears and softens I might need a strap lock. I did try to use the Dunlops on the strap and was only able to get it on the one end. The leather is so thick I could not get it on the other end. But as I said, I have had no issues. The boot leather is sewn very securely to a layer of soft leather covered cushioning that is slightly wider than the the main strap material. I don't play in a low slung position like some people and only had one more notch to go to lengthen the strap. So if you like really long straps, this is not for you. But most people will like it. I'm 6' 0'' and it fits me fine. I don't know why I waited so long to get this.
