After purchasing several other types of wide /padded straps for use with my vintage LP-read "Heavy" , I finally found the answer to an aching shouolder after every gig longer than fifteen minutes in the Levy's strap. This was just the strap I needed for my Ovation. The craftsmanship is excellent and the padding is comfortable. The leather at the widest part is 2 3/8" plus the padding making it actually 3 1/4" in total width. The holes for attaching the strap are reinforced with stitching. This strap should be around long after the guitar is gone.
