I play blues and I like the tone that says "hey listen to me". Some of my harmonicas I've had for almost ten years and only now am I replacing the reed plates. Try them they are to me worth paying for the quality becuse they sound good, last long and have reed plates you can replace. O by the way I do wail on them so they do get a workout when I play. I don't regret buying them and yes they are my first choice when I think of harmonicas.

My original plates on my Major Diatonic 1910 had several crooked reeds that were very hard to adjust, to the point that I gave trying to fix them and ordered new reed plates. Imagine my surprise that the new plates were worse. I think I am just going to stay away from LO Harps.

Free from Germany

Comments about Lee Oskar Major Diatonic Reed Plates:

I've gone through plenty of Hohner harmonicas. Replacing those Hohner harmonicas have been getting increasingly expensive. Even the Hohner replacement reeds are getting expensive. Now we are free from the Hohner goosestep, thanks to Lee Oskar, which makes a harmonica that is, at worst, just as good as the Hohner counterpart, but at a lower price. Also worth mention is that the Lee Oskar replacement reed plates are also available for a lower price.

Restore your harp

By JOHN PARSONS

from Troy, NY

Comments about Lee Oskar Major Diatonic Reed Plates:

What's not to like? Quick, easy, inexpensive, and the harp is like new again. I got tired of throwing away a $40 instrument when the reeds went south, so I switched to Lee Oskar harps because I could replace the reed plate. It's a no-brainier.

Comments about Lee Oskar Major Diatonic Reed Plates:

Low F is a specialty key and I use it for specific purposes. Glad I ordered when I did. A one month back order is frustrating. Hope I don't have similar issues when I need to replace the minor key plates. (The minor keys are my favorites.)

Comments about Lee Oskar Major Diatonic Reed Plates:

Reed was clearly damaged upon receipt. Don't know if its the non-protective packaging or violence during shipping. Not the first time this has happened. Can't you please bubble wrap these things? I've noticed that even when not damaged, product quality control seems to be down a little. Oskars are still the best option, though. Plates have good sound and outlast all competitive models.

Comments about Lee Oskar Major Diatonic Reed Plates:

Playing Lee Oskars for 20-25 years. Reed plates don't seem to last as long as they used to. Maybe a Q.C. problem? Still better than any alternatives out there - they still sound good, have good response, and less expensive than the copmetition (who, btw, ripped off L.O.'s replaceable plates thing, anyway).

Five sets of reed plates were received in good shape...this time. gOT LUCKY. Overall, they're aren't packaged for shipping. Thrown in a box or envelope with 2 pieces of crumpled paper and left to just flop around or get smashed by some monkey. I've received orders in the past that I had to return because the reeds were twisted and unplayable. PLEASE PACKAGE MY ORDER BETTER. PLEASE?

I've blown up too many harps. I have swung a hammer since I was a toddler, so a mere 50 years. I play harp same stroke/psi- these replacement plates are a bank account saver!
